Repair cracked oil pan drain plug

Decided to drop the pan. Just ordered a oil pan gasket and new drain plug rings from Memphis Equip. They were very pleasant to deal with and quick to respond to my e-mail inquire. It's time for a oil change and the pan gasket has a slow leak at the front anyway.. Using a slide bar with the...

Repair cracked oil pan drain plug

Went to change the oil and while attempting to remove the main drain plug I "torked"the plug to one side and it split the insert away from the pan cracking it, creating a leak. I bent it back and now have a drip. Other than using JB Weld, anyone have an idea on how to repair it without removing...

    Which year 002 Gen?

The date on the data plate only really tells you when the frame was made and it is even possible the plate has been replaced. Just like the hour meter only really tell you how long the hour meter has been running. Like most other military equipment, they have been repaired, rebuilt and...

How many members are running on MEP generated power right now..?

Right now it will cost me about $45 or so to run the 002 for a day or X2 that in the summer for the 003 to run AC. Just a decent hotel would be more than that, if you can find one in a power outage with power and a vacant room. Then there is food, inconvenience, the time and cost to drive back...

    is a mep-002 enough to start a/c

I have a 3 ton A/C. My MEP-002a starts it ok but you can tell it's working hard and will run it, the lights, TV's, computers, Fridge and a freezer in the garage at about 80%. Adding any additional load (Microwave, washer/dryer, etc) is too much. I can run everything above plus the microwave...

    tachometer for gensets

No real reason for a Tach. It should always run at 1800 rpm giving you 60hz. Never idle it. That will cause damage to the AC Voltage Regulator.

    Yanmar oil drain adapter

Thanks!! By looking at this manual I found the part TM for a larger pump unit and it took me to quickvalve.com and I was able to search for a smaller version... Perfect!! http://www.qwikvalve.com/fumoto-f108n-valve.html Not cheap, but better than cobbling it together unnecessarily.. ETA...

    Yanmar oil drain adapter

I have a couple of 3kw generators with the Yanmar conversion. They run great but I would like to make changing the oil easier. It looks like the drain plug is metric, m16X1.5. I'm trying to find an adapter to go to 3/8 mpt or fpt so I can install a valve and drain hose... Any ideas. As a...
