Can someone identify this engine and where to find repair info?

I found the tag image, it was in my notes not in with my pictures, go figure. You were right on the money, downloaded some of the TMs to review, thanks!

Can someone identify this engine and where to find repair info?

OK, I will search the TMs, thanks for the info. We always thought it was a 10 ton version. What would be the difference?

Can someone identify this engine and where to find repair info?

I found a couple pictures of the truck from a while back. I can get the tag info tomorrow, was just hopeful I could get the TMs and look them over while it is dark.

Can someone identify this engine and where to find repair info?

It is definitely bigger than a 5 ton, has been made into a log loader, so no clue what it was originally. I will see what pops up with the engine model info.

Can someone identify this engine and where to find repair info?

I thought I had taken pictures of the truck info, but I guess not, I swear my iPhone randomly deletes pictures these days ;) It is gasoline powered, the truck had a 10 ton capacity for highway service. I have no spark and I was looking for the best way to troubleshoot it. I know it has an...

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Glad to hear from you Soni, I hope things continue to get better or at a minimum, don’t get worse. This truck build has been motivation for me, I just wish I had you skills. Hope this new year brings better times for you and yours.

365/80 R20 MTP Conti's on Aluminum MRAP Rims

The cheapest I can find is $250 each wheel, the MRAP ones are aluminum and sell fro $150 or less, so I guess I call $250 overpriced?

365/80 R20 MTP Conti's on Aluminum MRAP Rims

Looking at the info here and in the other thread, I see why it is said that you can't use MPT style tires on non MPT rims. My question is risk and longevity of an MPT tire on MRAP rims. Is it more about speed of the tire or weight, or something else? I am looking to install 12.50 R 20 tires...

MRAP runflat, can it be used on a 5 ton combat wheel?

It is a 939 series truck. Back to the MRAP rims, the O-ring appears to be 3/16" with a 19" OD, I have seen people listing them with 1/4" diameter, is that OK to use? I have tons of the stock 5 ton ones, but those are not only too big, but they are too small overall diameter, so when trying...

MRAP runflat, can it be used on a 5 ton combat wheel?

I think I have also found out that the original purpose of the MRAP rims is DOA, I wanted to mount some 12.50 20 tires on them for a forklift, but it looks like that is a no go due to tire size. I am learning a lot, just not what I wanted to learn. NPT vs MPT, I had no idea that one style rim...

MRAP runflat, can it be used on a 5 ton combat wheel?

Is there a link to the spreadsheet? $9 seems crazy expensive, I paid $1.75 for the larger o-rings. Can the 395 85 R20s be run with the 14.00 20s? Or is it all or nothing? I have a couple leakers and figured I might as well put the 395s on, but I have not bobbed the truck yet, so I only have...

MRAP runflat, can it be used on a 5 ton combat wheel?

This was my original thought, but the runflat inserts are almost 3/4" wider than the 5 ton ones. I could not find any perceivable difference in rim width, that was where my confusion started. The studs are smaller, I think 5/8" and there were 20 of them IIRC. The socket size was 15/16"...

MRAP runflat, can it be used on a 5 ton combat wheel?

Hi guys, I have a couple of projects going on and I can't seem to figure everything out. I have done a bunch of searches, but I can't find my answer. I want to use the MRAP tires on a stock 5 Ton two piece bolt together rim. I have pulled apart the MRAP rim and removed it from the tire, I was...

    Cummins 8.3 fan shutter stat

When diagnosing the problem, if the fan is working all the time, does that mean shutterstat is definitely the issue or can the clutch have an issue that would make it engage besides the shutterstat? I verified that the fan is not locked and when you start up the truck the fan does not move...

Major air leak at Fan shutter-stat

Well, I have tried 4 times to get the thing working. Did you guys that ordered the seals from Mcmaster have good luck? I am going to start looking for a new one. It is frustrating, especially when you have a trailer hooked up, you have to leave it running or the air is gone.

M939A2 can't manually inflate front tire???

I took the spare down yesterday, so I will look at it so I know what you guys are talking about. I will most likely change the tire out and fix the one that is leaking, it seems like the simplest way to deal with the situation. Has anyone customize the CTIS so that it can be used manually...

M939A2 can't manually inflate front tire???

On the front tires, it doesn't look like you can reach the inside valve stem without removing the tire. The tire is holding at 40 PSI, I will check it every couple of days, it took a long time to get down to where it was too low to yard drive. I may try changing the schrader valve core and see...

M939A2 can't manually inflate front tire???

I am going to have to investigate this further, I figure if it stopped leaking, it must be some o-ring or rubber seal, if the steel was corroded it would not have stopped until the tire was empty.

M939A2 can't manually inflate front tire???

I may try that after swapping the tires. I got really lucky, it is holding at 45 PSI. I am only using it in the yard, so I am back to GTG from FUBAR. I will say that the spare tire is a lot easier to get down when you just don't care. I dropped it, then caught it after a couple of bounces...
