Wouldn't hurt to call a few towing services if you haven't already. Had my deuce hauled 180 miles on a low boy for $600. Highest quote I got was $830 from a towing company in Nashville, and they would've had to go 140 miles the wrong direction to get it.
The old girl doesn't see much action, but I had a workshop delivered today, and the tractor trailor couldn't pull out from under it. Had to pull him back to the road. Wasn't far, but definitely the biggest job since I've owned her. It all happened quickly, while blocking traffic, so no pics.
Just came across this thread. Never would have thought I would need one of those in southern KY. We just had an unusually cold, snowy spell here, with record lows. At 7:00 am Tuesday morning, it was -2. We just had our second round of snow, and it was over the bumpers on both our cars. Went to...
It was bigger than it appeared in my photos too. I just snapped a few quick shots. There was 4 or 5 age groups. More than 50 kids I'm sure. Saw some of the teenagers doing pushups. :D
Our local Vietnam Veterans sponsored a mini "boot camp" for local youth this morning. I didn't know about the event until another local deuce owner approached me late yesterday evening. He was broke down and asked me to take my truck to the event. I was happy to help out the veterans any way...
Nice looking rig. Welcome to the green madness. My wife told me "go get it if you want it" too, but she didn't speak to me for a week after it was delivered. Guess she didn't think I'd actually come home with it.
Awesome ain't it! Put mine in the local car show last year. Got the same results. All the kids wanted a picture with it and I got the opportunity to hear some stories from some veterans. The most awesome part was, when I rounded the corner and came up the street, several veterans formed a line...
Prices vary, sometimes wildly, according to condition and owner. I bought my 69 a little over a year ago for $5,500 + $600 for a ride on a lowboy. It came complete with everything working. 2008 CARC, new bows and tarp, electric wiper kit, heater, and nice condition soft top. I did find out the...
IF anyone is still having issues, here or on other sites, some adware infections cause this kind of problem. Most virus scanners will not detect this type of adware. One of the easiest tools to remove adware, browser hijackers, toolbars, etc is ADWCleaner. I use it in my PC repair shop...
Finally got some tires and got her rolling again. Replaced the tire that popped and the terrible looking spare. Got some awesome NDCCs off "The Bay" from IL. With freight they cost me $89 each. Still have the "teets" on them. Now all the rest of my tires look bad beside these. Wish I could have...
