i have an 84 M1008, flat green. I had it delivered, and it seems like someone sprayed PB blaster or WD-40 on the front fender, and it made dark spots on the paint. Any suggestion on how to clean this off the paint? i tried to scrub it a little with some baking soda and it doesnt seem to work...

Looking to remove my M1008 Bed, so i can access the underside and really get off all the rust, then paint the axle and frame. Is this quick and easy, or not worth the effort? Can it be lifted off easily with two guys? Anyone know what the bed weighs?

I was just cleaning out my new m1008 this morning, and found the same problem on the drivers side. I only have about 6" of the rail missing, and an 8"x1" hole in the floorboard, so its not too bad. Not sure what i am going to do to fix it yet, but seems like a common problem.

dr greg, you bought that m1008 from sparta? Is it in good shape? I guess i overpaid, that sucks. How many miles does yours have on it? I was gonna have it towed, but that will just add to the cost, so i might pick it up and just settle in at 50MPH and take my time.

yeah hopefully, you never know. The panels look good from the pics though, as long as the undercarriage isnt shot i will be in business.
