Need an aftermarket fuel filter for my M1009. Recommendations?

Looking to replace my OEM fuel filter. Am having trouble with the truck struggling to get up to speed. Was going to change the filter but noticed that the bleeder knob is broken off. Never changed the filter since I got it from the auction. Would like it to have inlet/outlet on one side.

    Value of 1968 M109 deuce.

I have a '68 M109 deuce non-turbo. Don't have the original title. Got it from Barstow something like 40yrs ago. Only used it off-road as it proved to be an excellent desert camper. Selling of some of my vehicles and would like to sell this. Have no idea of the value and haven't been able to...

    Not charging left battery?

How to access the bulb? Can I pull the front panel off and access it or do I have to get under the dash? Reason I ask is because i'm disabled with my right hand and would have a difficult time with my left. I did get under the dash and noticed that a plug is missing on that side and there is...

    Not charging left battery?

If the bulb is burnt out, does that disrupt the charging circuit? Haven't had a chance to check yet as the weather is crappy.

    Not charging left battery?

I have a 86 M1009. Has been trouble free for 5 yrs or so, so i'm out of practice in repairs. Just noticed that the voltage indicator is in the yellow. Neither red alternator light has come on. But when I checked my individual battery voltage, the rear battery reads 13+ and the front battery only...

    Rear bumper for M1008?

I have a buddy who wants to trade me a excellent condition rear bumper for some MRE's that I have. Although my bumper is a little tweeked where the pintle mount is but I really see no reason to change it. I would probably do the trade if the bumper is worth something and I could resale it. So...

Looked around can only find alum ones. Anybody know of copper/brass ones being available? Have seen a few online but not positive they will fit as I have heard of guys getting the wrong model.

    Heater core leaking

OK, got home a little while ago and a big puddle under the front of my '86 Blazer. Checked inside and the heater core is leaking. So how much of a hassle is it to change one of these? Only experience with heater cores was installing one in a M151A2. What a PITA. Any good sources for one? New or...

Found a distributor assy for Mutt

Was going thru my old parts pile and found a NOS Distributor ignition assy. Since I sold my M151 a while back, am thinking about taking this and a few other parts to my local club meeting/swap meet. Wondering what this ignition is worth? Box is dated '92. Is this an electronic one? Really...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

After having rebuilt my pass. side alternator 6 months ago, it suddenly stopped working again. So again I had to pull it out, take it down to the shop and have it rebuilt. Only good thing about this is I'm getting real good at testing and changing out my alternators.

Help me on this GEN 2 problem

OK, I probed the red wire, engine running. Only getting 12.4v. Guess that means the alt is bad. Right? Anything else I should check?

Help me on this GEN 2 problem

I got a 86 Blazer last year, it had a bad alt #2 and poor connections in relay, etc. Had the alt rebuilt and cleaned up the connections. After that got good charge on both batteries, alt2 light came on when starting then went out, everything ok. 10 months later my alt2 light stays on. So I...

    Question about Alternator rebuild kit

I got a rebuild kit from CUCV Electric and it came with one capacitor. My Alternator {pass. side} has two capacitors, one inside and one mounted outside. Anybody know which one I'm supposed to replace?

Finally added a PA speaker for my CB radio. Ended up mounting it under the front bumper out of harms way.

Gear oil in the transfer case?

Back somewhere around the early 90's my M1008's transfer case went belly up and I had to change it out with a surplus unit. My Dad who was an old farm boy suggested that I put 90wt gear oil in place of the tranny fluid. I been running that ever since. Any concerns on doing this?
