I would be willing to contact the campground at Richloam to workout the event there if that helps? I think it has plenty of room, and the owner is very accommodating.

Walter I don't think having sandwiches would be very fair for a $75.00 ticket, everybody looks forward to the food.

I would not expect a change of venue on this event. The logistics of moving all of the stuff we have at the current site creates a logistical/ time challenge. Maybe a day trip to richloam for some trail riding. Would be a chance for a nice convoy and trail ride. To be quite honest, I've yet to find an interesting trail in FL. Mud obstacles are the only real encounters.

Vinny, I agree about the food vs cost. If the menu was changed substantially, the cost could change as well. All of these things we will have to work on.

Just hang on guys while we work out details but don't get your hopes up on a change of venue. Think about the day ride at Richloam. BTW, how far away is that?

Edit; looks like only a 30 mile ride from the current venue.

You know Kenny, I had a great time when we did the convoy through the backroads and small towns on Sat during the GA rally. You guys could always do that.[thumbzup]

Yeah Jim, we could do that to Richloam (30 Miles) let the guys that want to abuse their trucks, do that and convoy back with the broken trucks on towbars. Sounds like fun!

Kenny, have you ever been to Richloam?

A lot of it is very mild trails. Those that want to challenge themselves can try, those who don't can go around. We've never broken a truck, and I wouldn't call it "abuse". Heck, nobody ever gets stuck unless they are trying to do so. The Florida Rally Location (aka the Mudhole) is probably worse on trucks if it is as wet as it was last year.

Wasn't at the Fla rally last year but did we get an abundant amount or rain in Jan and Feb that made it so wet or is it just swamp?maybe it will be dryer this year.I know there's a lot of clay pits in and around clermonte, there may be a place we could find to do some hill climbs and such.I didn't see a link to a map of the location of the rally site in this thread, could someone post it? I'm looking forward to all the fun [thumbzu:grd:p]h

Not trying to throw a wrench in the works, but I also am thinking an alternate site with more riding trails, etc. might entice a better turnout. Mile's place is perfect for getting away from EVERYTHING, but also has a limited amount of room for playing. The abundance of trails at the GA Rally, in my opinion, was a big hit with the participants, and enjoyed by a majority of the attendees. Just my 2cents.
I will agreewith pete... Please take us to the trails so we can trail on and ill be there. By the way whats $75.00 bucks??

The logistics gets a little out of hand as the numbers rise. I'm not sure if everything will go lockstep as it did last year or the year prior. Its a fun time, different than any other rally. My trucks usually stay parked and I ride around on my golf cart. Jack, just poking fun and the mud lovers. I know the FL trails are mild. The idea of a convoy over to Richloam (30 miles by my estimation) is really starting to appeal to me. TV Man, I can assure you if you want to challenge your skills and truck, there will be places to get stuck at the rally site.

Jack, no one could keep up with me when I was in my five ton, they were all 20 minutes back, the trails were to small, and you suck as a map reading navigator! I even fixed everything I broke or ripped off!
