Practical uses for a Deuce

My justification was simple! I can sell it for twice what I paid for it on eBay, and if the crap hits the fan in this country I want a vehicle that can go anywhere and THROUGH anything. I figure I will make the 109 a camper to some degree. I am just trying to figure out how to do the heated floor!

When I was wanting my first deuce I tried to justify it to myself. I had big plans for it and still do. I've got a bunch of dirt to move (working on a dump conversion) and need a haul rig for my backhoe (but haven't bought a trailer yet). I did use it one time to haul a welder across a wet field to do some welding and haul some lumber to build a shed to park it in.

Other than all that only thing I've done with it is ride it around and tow home more deuces that I've bought . I know, my name is Ty and I'm a deucaholic .

Why not put a coil of copper tubing down use some wood sleepers thhen some plywood over it? Saw a mog thot way.Back to the post.Take the kids to school, get the mail, get the beer.

Your own personal moving van. My organization is most likely transferring me this summer because my position has been eliminated. I get paid for the move. So I worked the math and the money I'll make off the deal after all expenses paid, goes to the green iron fund.

-So a moving van
-haul lots of mulch that please me and the neighbors, I haul your mulch you help me spread mine or pay for mine.
-haul lots of wood that please me and the neighbors, ditto on help or pay
-disaster response
-drive to work to make everyone think I'm crazy so they won't F with me
-will have to have something to move my 50 cal around once I buy one (green iron account)

-and above all else, have something to drive to the MV meet and greets to visit with some of the best folks that have graced God's green earth.

Use it for work, fun, camping, what ever I want. But all of it is fun when your in your deuce. Can go camping anywhere I want, in most any conditions, in most any weather, and carry all the support I need.

As STAMPY said, if it were to hit the fan ( or when it will hit the fan), I want to be able to bug out to where ever, with as much as I can carry.

Practical uses

I have another.

Decided today to get rid of the mosquito farm..... eerrrrrr above ground swimming pool. Drained it and was left with about 3" of water in the bottom. Was looking for a sharp stick when I realized there is a 1/2" line around the perimeter of the pool. Decided to slide the pool out from under the water with the deuce...... (HEY... any reason, right?)

I also used this as an opportunity to re-acquaint the wife with the joys of driving a deuce. Notice the last pic when she's trying to pull out the kill lever.....

Well... right now ours have a banner on the side that says, "OPERATION: COOKIE DROP - Buy Girl Scout Cookies to send to our troops". We take it to the locations where the Girls Scouts are having their cookie booths to promote the cookie share program. Our local GS council has teamed up with the USO to take donations for boxes of cookies to be sent to our soldiers through the USO. I understand that the Boy Scouts might be doing a similar program to send popcorn. Either way... it is a great tool for catching the attention of those we need help from, or to help others.

If you have enough gaurdians to watch the kids in the back take local kids on hay rides in the back, what the hell!

If a local gets stuck, chances are this is getting it out. unless it's a deeply stuck road grader! (check youtube-Grader and the Deuce)

Floods was a good one I seen, perhaps Al Gore owns a fleet.

W/ nato plug you can hook in tools as one guy showed on you tube. (aboonski) thats great for anywhere. stand on the deuce and trim trees w/ a recipricating saw hooked up to the truck.

W/ a glad hand as Aboonski shows run power tools out on the road
w/ a winch pull trees down where you need them, if the tree iss trong enough tie high enough and the whole stump should come.

possibly bring you fame and fortune, just think about it!
go camping and bunk in the back, never worry about high ground for a tent again.

as seen on you tube, haul your atv's, haul your big butt boat-tell me the truck cant go in deep and pull any boat out, haul your new deuce, haul your militia-- nothing like a good troop movment, take Ma to church, set road blocks, maybe I'm getting crazy but it's all endless isnt it?

Mine's equipped with a heater, cargo cover, and drop-side bed. I figure I can haul anything, any time, any where, in less than four feet of water.

Or, parades, trips around the neighborhood, and giving rides to the grandsons.
