You'll probably need the yellow locking clips for connecting the relays!

My M1078 had the top three rows of wires completely disconnected from the back of the CB panel. Luckily each wire has identifying stamps to relocate it where it came from. WHEWWW!!! That was a relief! The trouble is, I don't have the yellow retaining clips that lock in the contacts in place. I had to hold each contact with needle nose pliers when inserting the relay. I've got them all hooked up but still can't find these yellow clips anywhere! Probably need a couple dozen if anybody knows where to get them! Without them, you can't unplug and plug relays back in without supporting each contact from the back of the panel. Pain in the you know what!

Yes sir It was 3800.00. Of course there was tax, GP's fee, and getting here up here. The total price is still well under the price of the average runner here in Washington. I am a happy camper.



I sure did... Just down the block and back. Only shifted one gear but it shifted. Beside the hard shift (motor oil plus being cold) I think the transmission is fine. When I first switched her on there was no warning buzzer. I looked at the air gauged and they where reading 70 or so PSI. I air her up to tilt the cab the day before and it still had air. It leaks but not as bad as I first thought.



I am going to give them a call. It really pisses me off as the body is in nice condition. It's not going to be an easy fix.

I have to say, you scored big! 3,800 wouldn’t buy a beat up f150 with a 100k miles and lots of rust on it. Have some fun working on it but don’t sweat the small stuff. Unless you blow it up or burn it to ground, you will always be able to sell it for more than what you have in it. Congratulations on a great find!

thanks for the heads up. That sure looks like a nice truck to part out. However I just picked up a nice grill and other parts today.
Then only thing I didn't get on my list was a ladder and and a better spare tire.

Think I may have a bad starter... Sounds like the bendex drive is sticking. Are the starters AC Delco? I may just need a new solenoid. Any thoughts

Try Oshkosh equipment sales. That’s what popped up on my internet search. They list the washer an the inner part as in stock. The bushing is listed as out of stock. Give the a call if they can get you the bushing.

Read Duckworth build thread he mentioned about some bushing he replaced an how he got them. Not sure if they are the same ones you want to replace.

Yeah I too found OES. They said they were out of stock.

Can anybody give me the measurements of the bushing?

Awesomeness or Adventure driven are making them. I believe they are better and cheaper then stock bushings running $90.00 each. I did build my own out of a blank poly bushing. I had to turn them down but I made both of mine for $30.00. I don't have the sizes handy and wont be out to my truck for a while.

Awesomeness makes the lower bushings. I need the uppers and have not found anybody that has them.

Removed the starter today and found out why it was sticking. The solenoid plunger is rusted. Also the bell housing had about a quart of water inside. Got to love the Pacific Northwest... Moss and rust for everyone.

SO the question is do I just replace the solenoid or find another stater?
