Hello every one,
I think Minnesota needs an MV rally and I couldn't think of a better place to have it than at the HQ of the world renowned Drive A Tank Inc.
How much interest is there?
Any one willing to help me get it set up?
Any ideas?
I had considered doing some thing along the lines of...
I think It would be super awesome. If you are worried about fuel you should not be talking military vehicles any way. Dave is right, HET is no wider than a semi and no taller. I have collector plates on mine so in Minnesota its almost as easy to get around as RV plates. I was going to build a...
Hey guys,
I'm wondering if any one has access to a PLS, It needs to be the 1075 type with 5 axles,10 wheels. I'm looking for some measurments of the axles.
I can bribe you with tank driving and machine gun shooting if you swing by.
Thanks
-Tony
Well, The day has finally came. We pick up a M4A2E8 76mm WET Sherman. It was built in February of 1945. It has the more powerful 76mm main gun and is powered by twin 6-71 Detroit Diesels, Known as the GM-6046 in the 1940's. After a quick tune up she really moves out for a 78,000 LB hunk of...
That is probably one of the nicest walkers around, its not over restored and shinny like a collector car. If you figure the HP to weight ratio at its actual weight as pictured, it is equal to the M1 Abrams at combat weight. Abrams comes to 21.43 HP per ton (1500 HP at 70 tons) and that walker at...
Hello,
If there is any one in the Mankato/Kasota/St. Peter area interested in tanks and machine guns we are looking for part time weekend help at www.driveatank.com.
Must work well with the public, look respectable, and be willing to learn. Must be dependable. Jobs would range from working on...
I drove my first "little tire" (as we call them)truck home the other day while a buddy drove his new A2 truck. I have driven many A1's and A2's home but no little tire trucks.
We were only moving 55 at 2150 RPM, it seemed slow but what the hey, we were making progress home, Just picked up two...
A 931 is 11'9 after the cab and a 925 is roughly 15'. The cargo is much more because it hangs over the rear, the cargo wheelbase is only 12" longer.
Don't forget the spare tire and muffler are behind the cab also.
Hey guys, I'm working on two M925 projects, a water truck and a dump. I'm wondering if any one knows the specs on the hydraulic pump or PTO? Looking for something as simple as GPM at X engine RPM, or even pump cubic inches/displacement and I could figure the rest. Also looking for system...
I thought about that too, but to be honest I think that if you are going to do a vehicle you really need to up scale the pattern. Kinda like the old 3 color compared to the old BDU's. The spots on a truck are the size of a person. I think the vehicles in multcam or ACU digi seem very busy...
Awesome, I'm really glad it went to some one like you . You got a dang good deal on the 870 too, I was going to bid the last hour but got busy and forgot about it....:x
