Made a rookie mistake by believing the auto parts guy that the fuel filter they had would fit my 998 w/ the 6.2. Long story short, didn't work. Have everything apart so I ordered one thru Kascar. I want to drive it this weekend so I cleaned filter etc with brake cleaner and reinstalled...
When backing up the 998 and I apply the brakes, I get a strong vibration. feels like it is coming from the rear disc but not sure. It doesn't do it while going forward which seems kind of weird to me. Is it normal? How can I diagnose it, fix it? It's a 1992 with the 6.2 in case that matters.
Actually, went to 3 four wheel drive shops in the area and they wouldn't touch them. they all said it was because of the split rim. ****, they work with bead locks don't they? Oh well

I was replying to the guy that installed all the LED lighting. apparently when you hit "reply" it just does it generally. Have to "reply with quote" thx
For me, none really. I won't drive it over a thousand miles a year. No inspection required. Only supposed to drive it to mtgs, for repair or club related events. I'm a member of a local 4WD club but I do drive it for other reasons.
I bought my 998 a few months ago. It was titled in Wisconsin and legal for street use. I researched the title /registration process here in Tx and was told the title will xfer easily by the DMV. I got the paper work together and went to have it inspected. Went to countless inspection stations...
I have a 2 man set up and after spending a few days cleaning the mud and trash out of it, it decided to rain. not sure where the mud came from but there is mud now in the floors again. My problem ? tho is, is there some sort of gasket that goes under neath the bulkhead? There is about a 1"...
