    Deuce fuel in oil problem

I'm not a flame heater expert, so someone else will have to pipe in on that subject. From the pictures you do have a flame intake heater, and my guess is that is whats leaking. Do you have a picture of the injector pump, its on the drivers side of the engine. We can see if your FDC has been...

    Speedometer cable adapter

If someone has another, my truck needs one as well, with seal. Mine started leaking on the 370 mile trip to school. NSN would be 2520-00-562-0421, I'm running the 900's. TIA!

    Deuce fuel in oil problem

Not sure about the valve in front of the turbo, maybe the flame heater, if so equipped? Sounds like your FDC (Fuel Density Compensator) might be leaking into the engine oil. Do a search, there are multiple threads on how they fail, and how to bypass them. Just remember if you do bypass it...

    Deuce won't start.

My truck didn't even have a fuse in the holder on top...I'm guessing yours worked at one time, but at least check the connections under there. Check the pressure with a gauge (I believe there is a block on top of the pump with a small port you can put one in) or look for a healthy amount of fuel...

    speedo cable leaking

Usually the gear oil will push the grease out of the speedo adapter. One end of the speedo adapter has a screw with a seep hole, the grease will get pushed out, and gear oil follows. If driving in the summer for extended periods, it can move a decent amount out. I took mine apart, and found one...

Cold Start Switch on lower left dash

I started my Multi at 9deg. Ether kit isn't hooked up (I need to do that now that the beast is living in Idaho!). It took 3 runs of cranking, about 5 seconds each. Took off on the 3rd go. Much colder and I think I would need the ether, or a block heater.

Lopez Island, WA to Spokane, WA

The winch was actually pretty simple with the right tools. I hooked a chain hoist to the top plate on the winch, put a little pressure on it, used a rattle gun to loosen the bolts, and tapped it out with a 5lb sledge. I pulled the donor truck out of the way, and pulled in the without winch...

    deuce rear axle seal...napa#?

Napa does NOT have the seal. ODIron has them, or any of the other suppliers who deal in MV's.

    In-Tank Fuel Pump Dilema

Mine is doing the same thing I think. From what I can tell, there is a motor and a magnet inside that sealed unit. On the lower unit there is another magnet that is spun by the one in the sealed motor unit. Take off the lower unit (They are one way screws so you will need a pair of pliers, etc)...

Emergency! Road Trip - Transfer Case Leak/Hot

I took the in tank pump out today, and it was still together. The motor is making grinding noises, so I think what happened is the magnet in the motor that turns the impeller is coming off the shaft in there, and only pumping sometimes. When I stopped in vantage, I added 15 gallons of UMO/Gas...

Emergency! Road Trip - Transfer Case Leak/Hot

Well I made it to my destination. wsucougarx: Truck ran right at 190 over the pass, pulling 40mph the whole way. It went down to 1700 rpm, and just sat down and went. About 5-10 mph faster than the C turbo truck I took over a couple weeks ago. Ok, so right after I made that post from Vantage, I...

Emergency! Road Trip - Transfer Case Leak/Hot

Update: I confirmed that it was indeed coming out of the speedo adapter, and put some RTV on it, checked the level, and kept driving. I saw all the oil, and felt the hot tcase and kinda thought it was all coming to a flaming end. But it wasn't! I am currently in Vantage, WA, and making OK...

Emergency! Road Trip - Transfer Case Leak/Hot

Thanks. I dont think its more than 75 over ambient so thats good. I had never felt it before, so wasn't sure if it being hot was normal. I noticed a zerc on the speedo adapter, could the grease have gotten flushed out with gear oil from over-filling and now its leaking because the gear oil is...

Emergency! Road Trip - Transfer Case Leak/Hot

I am on I-5 at a rest area just north or Everette, WA. I have been at freeway speeds for about an hour or so, and pulled in at a rest area about 15 miles ago, and noticed a bit of gear oil over the diff, and tires. I went to the next rest area and looked more closely. It seems the gear oil is...

Fort Lewis Inspection this friday 8-8-08?

Did you end up winning a truck? Are you near Pullman? I'm over in Moscow during the school year, and will probably have my M35 over there.

MR: I want to buy an 818 just so I can get a set of tires like that for it. Looks great!

Lopez Island, WA to Spokane, WA

Just finished driving ~360 miles or so in a deuce, delivering the "Evil Bunny" truck to the buyer in Spokane. Took about 8 hours, and was pretty uneventful, although very hot. I'll snag pics off my phone when I get the cable and time. EDIT: Ok, now I'll add more details. I've been so busy I...

    m211 brake system

Did you ever get this fixed? I tore apart the M135 this week, if you still need an air pak I have a takeout one, looks newer, but still unknown condition. PM me if interested.

    Oh Krap!

Like others have mentioned, there should be a black plastic cap on a chain to plug up the connector when a bottle isn't in place. I think both the flame heater and ether system are wired thru a temp sender in the intake. I know the ether start system on my 1st M35 has it, and I thought the 2nd...

Update-52's are getting closer to being on-and refurb work

Maybe tripping a breaker that self resets? Have you tried different trailers or just that M105 that was causing the problem on our recovery trip? Just got my WA plate in the mail today, glad thats finally taken care of! You still interested in the Canvas? I might be up for a trade for a vinyl...
