I can't even get ahold of Matt I've been trying for like 2 week but he must be on nights or something I had it up for sale on Craigslist but not even a nibble so I said screw it I'll insure it and drive it its worse to let it sit than to drive it
I didn't think that it would hurt I just wants to ask I also planned on using the rotella engine oil I want to add a quart or too of the Lucas engine oil stabilizer to it I use it in my silverado and love it
J want to change the engine oil in my M813A1 before the spring 2012 Rausche Creek rally but I'm not sure what weight oil to use I've always been told 15W40 for a diesel engine but the info placard on my passenger side dash says to use SAE 30 does anybody know if it's ok to use 15W40 don't see...
Forgot to list bringing my M813A1 and the fiancé I know she wants to come we'll be leaving Friday the 13 to head up after work believe I'll be meeting up with cheiser666 who's comin out of philly
Count me in sent away for the insurance today should be a couple days getting back to me then tags and some last minute servicing I'll meet up with Cheiser666 and convoy up after work that friday :grd:
Thank cheiser666 once they settle on a date and I get my insurance and tags we'll have to set up a place to meet I too will be heading up Friday after work so far sounds like they plan on the fourteenth
I should be good for any weekend in April working on getting my M813A1 insured and tagged hopefully be done by this weekend. Also is anybody else from the Baltimore area going? I'd love to convoy up with even 1 truck I have faith in my M813A1 but this will be her first trip since I bought her...
To me the mount he fabbed up looks like its for a farm application I wouldn't be towing that on the highway without lights such as pictured above and definately I wouldn't have a bolt holding it to the truck
I totaly agree that pulling a trailer that heavy loaded without brakes and lights and a bolt as his connection is definately not the smartest thing ive seen but i do have to give him credit for the nice welding job done to make that setup definately get the " Master Rigger " award from me.
I wouldn't stop most of those DOT Cops are *******s I like to stay as far away from them as possible I never stop with my 5 ton you dont need the CDL for the 5 tons as far as I know. I only stop when im in my work truck and even then i run around them if possible and not obvious
It may sound rediculous but I've always believed that everyone should know how to drive a vehicle with a manual trans just good to know how to personally
Cool man sounds like a plan I really enjoy hy-railing I remember when I first hy-railed at work in our boom truck I actually started to turn entering the curve and then realized that's not necessary oops. Id love to go for a ride if im ever down your way
Thanks for sharing M813rc very cool truck we have one similar to that at work its not a deuce or 5 ton but it is designed to pull rail cars ill have to post a pic if I can find one
Way cool everybody really like the hy-rail equipped M1008 definately cool that M54 with rail wheels is also very cool!!!! I wonder if my boss would let me trade in my 95' chevy 2500 hy-railer for that M1008? It would be even better if the M1008 was three color camo
Hello to all I have a question that may sound a little rediculous I work for CSX Transportation in the track dept. And was curious was there ever any MV's ever equipped with Hi-rail gear for riding the rails? If so does anybody have any pictures?
If installing a water tank such as a brush truck might have I would say any dropside truck would give you more access to the tank and could easily store and remove tools from bed if your making a brush truc I would say keep the winch for added security while off road
