    Smoke, idle, and power issues...

Smoke, idle, and power issues... (video) I've gone searching through a bunch of threads and haven't found one that seems to match the problem that I'm having. My '09 is putting out quite a bit of white smoke at idle, and the idle is a bit rough as well. It doesn't make too much of a difference...

    CLUNK CLUNK! Somethings coming loose...

Ya, it's crazy. I half expected the noise to still be there after I fixed that little tab. It' didn't seem like such a tiny thing could be so obnoxious.

    "Inventing" a "New Multi-Fuel Engine"

This table is for a Dodge 408 stroker engine, but the concept still applies. You'll notice as you look at it that you can almost draw a diagonal line across as you lower the compression and raise the boost, or visa versa, and the PSI in the cylinder stays almost the same. So yes, you can use...

    "Inventing" a "New Multi-Fuel Engine"

Ok, I can see where the head design would be quite a trick. That sounds like it would involve machining a custom head, which is not cheap.

    CLUNK CLUNK! Somethings coming loose...

I finally found it! Been driving me nuts all this time, and it turns out all it was was a bent metal tab that used to connect the tranny dip stick tube to the bell housing. It was smacking the transmission tunnel every now and again. Couldn't really see it. Found it by feel.

Successfully running waste oil as fuel!!

I'm in the process of piecing together a WMO setup for my M1009. I'll keep you all posted on how it works out.

    "Inventing" a "New Multi-Fuel Engine"

As far as high compression goes, diesel performance enthusiasts, sled pullers, and drag racers use high compression 12v 6bt engines all the time, so I would think it would be a good candidate from that standpoint. The Bosch P7100 used on these engines is also nearly bulletproof, as well as...

One heck of a big diagnostic port, at least by modern standards lol!

RMP and speeds in a stock M1009

I took the M1009 down the interstate yesterday and cruised along at 75 MPH no problemo. It had no problem bottoming out the speedo (85), though I only did this for a second just to get a feel for things. Having no tach, I don't want to push the engine past the "safe" range. With the 3.08...

    Power port?

Hey guys, I've done some searching here on SS as well as Google, and I can't find much. What exactly is the "port" with the threaded cover under our dashes for? I'm guessing from what little info I have found that it is some type of power supply port. If so, can it be used to power anything...

Rear window question before ordering parts...

Looking through the LMC catalog, and I don't see a "kit". I'm guessing I just need parts 1 through 7 off this page? LMC Truck Parts - Page 32

Rear window question before ordering parts...

Before I order parts to fix my rear window issue, I wanted to check with some of you who have done this before. My rear window crank works, sort of, when and if it wants to. It catches, then free spins, then catches, almost as if something is stripped out. I'm guessing one of the "ears" on the...

    I couldn't resist...

I don't have any idea. They were on it when I bought it. I would actually like to go back to the stock style.
