    Removing the TH400

Thanks for all the info guys. I picked up the trans jack attachment this morning, and just finished taking the tranny out the rest of the way. Removing the transfer case and using the tranny jack was definitely the way to go. If I was doing it in a shop with a jack table and a lift then things...

A 6.2 will never be a powerhouse no matter what you do to it, but if you take good care of it, it will last half of forever. [thumbzup]

    Removing the TH400

Ok, sounds like a trans jack is the way to go. I'll try to find one when I go into town in the morning. Just getting a little impatient wanting to get my baby back on the road. :driver: Thanks for all the input!

    Removing the TH400

I'm in the middle of removing the TH400 from my 09 to replace the cracked case. I have everything unhooked and ready to come out, but there are a couple of things I'm unsure of. Do I need to wait until morning and go get a transmission jack before I undo the bell housing bolts, or am I going to...

M1009 Featured in Four Wheeler in 2006

What's the point of owning one of these if not to take them off road? If all I want to do is cruise around on pavement, that's what cars are for.

Nothing wrong with a 12v conversion as long as whoever did it knew what he was doing and did it completely and correctly.

Banks to discontinue sidewinder turbo this month.

Very true. I plan to run my 6.2 for as long as it's in good running condition. After that, I'm going Cummins. The Cummins is a far superior engine, and swaps are pretty straight forward. I'm fairly sure you could put a 4bt, or even a 12v 6bt in your truck for less than it would cost to rebuild a...

    Drive Shaft U-Joint Fail

Ok, I understand the bolt pattern issue, but is there any difference between a TH400 for gas vs. for diesel? I thought they were the same.

    Fuel Injector Cleaner

Ya, that's how I've been doing it, but on something the size of a jug of Power Service it's hard to be very precise when you need one ounce to every three gallons. I'll come up with something. :?
