What is the intake diameter of the tube going into the airbox? I am curious because i was looking into pre filter units from maradyne. Anyone ever use these?
Mounting some kind flood lights around the truck like on the sides of the truck bed. Another thing that would be really cool, is to make a kind of rack over the truck bed like an oversized lumber rack. From that it would be easier to mount lights and you could carry a boat on top of it...
If anything, don't have aamco do it if you have it done by somebody. My buddy needed his trans rebuilt so we looked online for reviews and we didn't find one good one. Took it to another shop (two man job) started to tear it down and it turned out all it needed was a couple pieces. Save him...
From the tractor show I went to this summer, they reason they extend the chain is so the angle of the chain is equal for for all tractors/trucks regardless of hitch height. most of the tractors have very low hitch points, while the one guy with an m37 had a higher hitch point. they extended his...
LOL very true. 3406E are great motors, have heard good things about them. NTC 400 cummins would be a good motor, wouldn't have any problem finding parts for them.
For the transmission, you could try and find a truck that is being parted out for what ever reason and take the engine and trans...
The dodge trucks are 12volt. The batteries are connected in parallel. The reason they did this was because the cummins needs the power of two batteries but since these are assembly line trucks that also got a gas engine, it would be easier to make everything 12vdc. Same thing with Ford...
Re: RE: Wondering what it takes to single out a rear axle
What do you mean by flip the hubs? I have seen pictures or diagrams of it but I don't exactly understand the exact process.
Thanks
Alex
That's a nice truck. How did the other ones look? That guy has been re-posting that since the beginning of the summer, and only 1 has disappeared so I am hoping that a couple stick around for a while.
So the purpose of your adapters, is so that you can use an oil filter with an anti-drain valve and be able to use a much more readily available filter. Is that correct? I think this and the muffler would be first things I want to do to my deuce when I get it.
RE: Re: NEW GUY from Washington
Oh does he still have those? I saw that posting but it was down so I figured he got rid of them. Are you getting the one with the winch?
My thing is, I would have it at school and I can't really construct a shelter in the gravel parking lot where I would be keeping it about a block from my dorm. It only really drops down to around zero for about a couple weeks then it generally sits between 10 or 20 at the coldest. Most likely...
Could be oil, also could be that additive. but since he said the truck didn't smoke like this before he rebuilt the injector pump, it leads us to believe that it may be fuel related.
