I think it is possible that the additive could change the smell a bit. I did notice a slight difference when I had a fuel additive in my 4runner, not like you describing, but it did smell a little different.
THat is true about wind chill. I guess I knew that. That is good to know about starting. I was just wondering if that was cold enough to throw her for a loop. Yeah I was planning on running Delo 400 15w-40 because I can get it through my dad's work.
Yeah batteries definitely need...
Ok for clarification, I live in seattle in the summers and live in Ellensburg, WA during the school year. In the winter it averages between 0 and 20 degrees with a minus 20 wind chill. wind is always blowing. That is why I was wondering. And the place where I would be parking the Deuce would...
From what I understand. What i am realizing, is that the deuce is designed to be absolutely bullet proof. Having the engine tuned to the point where you have to worry about the EGT when you get on the throttle for long periods of time, isn't really what they were going for i don't think. For...
So, I had a couple questions about what you guys do for cold winter starts. Where I am, and where I would probably have the deuce, I would not be able to plug in a block heater or a oil pan heater. How would I go about getting a deuce ready for cold winter starts? 24volt manifold heater or...
Having a boost gauge can help you guage your boost, especially so you don't over boost, which could be catastrophic. Especially helpful when you are running into higher boost levels (racing), if your wastegate sticks, you can catch before you blow the motor. High boost levels also creates more...
oh i just saw that the other one wouldn't start. if you disconnected the broken one, could limp it off or is it completly gone? I would try to get the other one running. Why won't it run?
Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Deuce w/winch for sale
ok, you just contradicted yourself. hahahaha
"Man, I wish I could, but I just can't justify having two around, one of which needs a lot of work. Between the two, the deuce is much "cooler" and really doesn't need any work. The M1009 might be...
well originally, they were going to use as a support rig, not a full on wheeler and I think editor David Kennedy was driving it for his DD. I have no doubt that you could get 39's under it.
Do a search through Peterson's 4 wheel and off road magazine's website, and look for their army truck build. They really did a nice job to it. Has enough lift for 37's if i recall correctly. http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/projectbuild/131_0609_1986_chevy_one_ton/index.html
Thanks for the replies, everyone. I had been reading through the site for a while and decided that I should probably try and contribute or learn something new. I don't know what it is about the duece, but the beast just attracts me for some reason. It is either the size, or just the principle...
