    Gear Vendors

Also I found a speedometer gear calibration chart. It says I need a 35 tooth count gear for an axle ratio of 4.56 with 37's. I read that the HMMWV aren't true 37's. Is this true?

    Gear Vendors

I am calling GV tomorrow to order the coupler. Mine did not come with the master switch so I'm going to see about getting another one from them. I think the only thing the master switch does is switch it from "auto" to "manual" so I think I could just run it without it, and the computer would...

    Gear Vendors

Dallas, Ga (About 30 miles Northwest of Atlanta) I just read a thread where a guy swapped gear vendors from a motor home to his 4x4 truck, both having different transmissions. He said he called up gear vendors, and the only thing he would need is the coupler (for the proper spline count) and...

    Gear Vendors

I was under the impression from other threads and the gear vendor website that all that was needed to switch out units were different adapters. The website stated that all units were universal except for the adapter. Also every craigslist add that i saw stated that the appropriate adapter must...

It's for the M1008. Sorry, I should have put that up there lol.

    Gear Vendors

Alright, so I just purchased some used gear vendors that came off of a Ford c-6 transmission. I know you have to buy an adapter for the Chevy np208, but is there anything else that needs to be done? For instance, will I have to buy a new speedo cable? Gear vendors also come with a 4x4 lockout...

    Plastic Surgery

I tried the plunger approach, but I think there are to many creases in the dent. I can't get a solid level grab. I'm going to try the wedge and jack technique. I'll post pictures once I fix the issue. Thanks again!

    Plastic Surgery

Man there are so many things to try. It's kind of like a science experiment lol. I'm excited to try all of the ones that I have the materials for. I'll definitely take pictures tomorrow. It's supposed to be a less than comfortable day tomorrow in Georgia, but it'll give me something to do none...

    Plastic Surgery

I did forget about the old plunger suction method lol. I'll have to get it a try tomorrow!

    Plastic Surgery

So, the passenger side of my M1008's bed has had a pretty decent dent since I've owned it. Is there a good way to pull it out with out removing the bed. Not too sure I can squeeze a hammer in between the two shells. Have you guys used any techniques that work!? Thanks in advance!

H1 rims and tires set up. Need some help

I'm not sure about 8 bolt rims. I have four, two piece, 12 bolt rims with run flat inserts that I don't need anymore. I was running the 37" MT's on them, but got a really good deal on some nice rims, so I switched them out. If you have any doubt I would just go with the 12bolt, they seem to be...

A couple questions about lifting and single-cab conv.

Like was said earlier, no blocks in the front. ORD is awesome! If you decide not to blocks in the rear you can do a rear shackle flip. It's a little pricey, but let's you retain your load capacity. And from what I understand NO drive shaft mod/ transfer case mod is needed. A lot of people do...

    6.2 47rh

Yeah I looked a few minutes ago. Am I going to have to make my own? lol. I hope not.

    6.2 47rh

Yes, I plan on keeping the 47rh for later on. And thanks for that advice! I got some homework to do, but if it works out it will be easier than the 4l80e, right?
  17. EF-5

    6.2 47rh

I most definitely will. I hope this is possible. It would make my life so much easier lol.

    6.2 47rh

I was planning on doing a 5.9 Cummins swap. However, I would like to split the swap up to conserve funds. Anyway I can put a 47rh behind the 6.2. Any adapter plates available?? This maybe a long shot question.

Looks great man! I'll post pictures this weekend of the new wheels and spacers in the rear!

My M1010 Now on 37's w/ no lift! (Pics!)

Yeah I replaced the kingpin springs and bushings along with a MOOG steering stabilizer. It eliminated my death wobble I still have vibration at 60mph. It doesn't happen all of the time, but occasionally. Tomorrow I am swapping my wheels out, and removing my run flats. The wheels are 16.5"...
