Large pipe wrench, oil filter strap type wrench, hammer and chisel. Depends on how tight it was installed in the first place. It will unthread just like the fuel cap.
The filler screen IS removable. Sounds like air to me. I had a Mack E7 400 hp that would do the same thing occasionally, replaced the fuel lines and the problem was solved.
The problem with a premium price is not many sets will be made and if parts are needed they will be very expensive, unavailable or impossible to find. If the price is decent and many are sold, they will continue making them, lots will be available and parts be plentiful. Would you still want...
Hopefully if someone does actually make them, they price them reasonably. If they are 1k or more, probably won't sell too many. If they are close to the price of the deuce set, they will fly off the shelf.
I had a similar problem in my boat. It's hard to clean out a 1200 gal tank so I just ran lots of additives and changed filters often. Not totally fixed yet but better. In your case, it might be easiest to just replace the tank. Lots of trucks are being parted out currently.
Sure did and found all of the usual places. If you read above, I asked about possible local sources such as auto parts stores (napa, car quest, etc) or BULK online, not military dealer gold plated pricing.
I do search before posting but I guess I will start every post with "I already searched"
Has anyone found an auto parts store or other local source for the packard connectors? If not, are there any affordable places to buy them in bulk online?
Thanks
I've seen military personnel out looking for parts in the yard too. Whenever I bid on something, I try to be at the lot looking at it and bid from my phone. Sometimes the pictures are months old. If I win, I attach my pad locks to the boxes if anything is in them and take pics of the truck...
