Decided to add AC to this hot beast. I don't have the rear armor plate and didn't was to spend the money for one. I made an angle iron frame that bolted to the floor using the cargo ring mounts and mounted the frame to the fenders using bolts. I mounted the frame in the bed behind the rear...
A lot more searching. I have found H1 HUMMER condenser under $100 but the HMMWV ones are $900+. To me it simply looks like how they mount on the radiator stack is the only difference. And maybe hose connections. If heat starts to've an issue I could add an electric cooling fan I've never done...
I thought about the civi condenser. Need to look more but it's $$$. Fender units I've seen around $200 but civi Seam to be close to $900.

How well do the right rear fender Red Dot AC condenser work verses the condenser mounted being the rear curtain. I know they only have a plastic shield to keep the dirt, mud, and rocks out. I've heard both good and bad but haven really heard from anyone with first hand experience on then...
Ok I added a soft top gunner station to the truck. So now it's a 5 passenger. If the gunner is attached with the safety restraint (seatbelt) as it's attached to the floor. Does it now qualify as a 5th seat legal for road use? 32 years and I've never thought about it. Reading the law I don't...
I removed the seatbelt plate from the B pillar and cut out most of the curve then scabbed the original B pillar offer the gun B pillar. Worked out really nice. On the C pillar I added a piece of angle iron all the way across then made an angle iron bracket where I added the rubber bushing...
With the cost of a hard top and shipping plus I like the look of the soft top. Don't really like the slant back tips. I decided on the soft top modification. Added the gun ring torrent B pillar, attached to windshield, and made a bracket to the C pillar. Really modified the original B pillar...
Well the starter is back on and the truck fired right up. Checked the charging voltage and it seams to be OK and no spikes from the ALT charging.
GROUNDS were mentioned. I have CRS going on and forgot that I had made and installed the grounding harness for this truck..
Everything is grounded...
Glad they didn't use any thread locker. Really want too bad. Just enough drill for the ease out to grab. Almost could have used the picks of it would have had something to grab.
Note Brake line replacement and see what else is fried

One down one to go. I tried a pick and turning first. It would move a little then bind. Able to drill just enough for the easy out to bite.

Well here is the contact point. Top side of passenger frame rail. No brake line in site. Transmission lines close but they didn't contact. I'm guessing the voltage went into the frame rail then jumped somewhere to either the left frame rail or just into one of the brake lines. The brake...
