Well I've never had an issue with the truck. The starter falls off and arcs and the brake lines are toast. I noticed that the long line from front to rear has black soot all the way down the brake line and where the mounting clips are there is a hint of fluid leaking. Now I need to look...

24V going to things out shouldn't be going to. As long as it didn't arc all the way to calipers and master I'll be a little more happy. I need all the hard lines if someone knows a source. Guess I'll tackle drilling the studs for ease out tomorrow.....someone want to come do it for me...

Well the answer is............THE STARTER FELL OFF..............go figure? Anyone know where to get new hard brake lines? Even need the long one along the frame. I am just hoping that the calipers, master, and hydro boost didn't fry too.

The brake system is fried, no really fried. My son was pulling back into the house and the brakes were kinda "squishie". He parked the truck and opened the hood and then saw sparks coming from the area of the master cylinder and then the brake lines got red hot. The front brake line from...

    Front winch mount idea

Decided to add a winch on the front and rear of the HMMWV. Rear is one simple mount plate. The front is killing me. I can't seam to be able to find the frame mount brackets. I have a drawing of how they look but no time to sit and fab them up. I was looking at the front bumper after I took...

Broken glow plug tip removal, well kinda broken

It was the entire tip of the glow plug, not just the broken swollen part and it was jammed in to the point I couldn't get it out at all. I am going to pull the injector and glow plug base and check it again. Just haven't had time.

Broken glow plug tip removal, well kinda broken

Well I'm not sure......?????? I couldn't get it out so just left it and ran 7 good ones. We had stopped at the post office and as I walked in all of the sudden I heard a very loud TAPPING / HAMMERING from the motor and sounded like it was going to come apart and die. Well it's a 6.2 so I'm...

Oil pressure doesn't change and the running pressure is very good. I think the fan is a sensor issue maybe.
