    Driving thru sand

I worked for an electrical co-op on the gulf coast for some time on a Pole Truck. Heavy, full of wire, parts and gear and driven only by the rear tandems. You would be surprised at how good you can get at driving through sand with a little practice. We would leave our trucks aired up and if...

    Jedawson1 M37 preservation/restoration

Well I have determined that I have the Douglas connections, "metal connectors". My truck has already been upgraded to have turn signals, I'm happy about that. I'll email vintage wiring of main today and wait for him to call and discuss. Thanks for pointing me towards a new harness, I like...

    Jedawson1 M37 preservation/restoration

Rodger that guys, I have downloaded and printed the manuals. Just need to determine if the connectors are Packard or Douglas, and what the differences are between the M37 and the M37B1 wiring. My truck has a plug on the bottom passenger side of the dash curious if this is an outlet for a map...

    Jedawson1 M37 preservation/restoration

I appreciate your input, I saw vintage power wagons website posted, I think it was $1100 for the full harness. I want it done right and I know that's going to cost more than it does to just keep it running. I'll give the guy in Maine a call Monday. Also, thanks for the lead on paint, won't...

    Jedawson1 M37 preservation/restoration

I have some questions concerning rewiring the truck. Currently the wiring is a birds nest. Has anyone rewired one of these trucks and what would you say about your experience??? I'm ok with purchasing a brand new harness but I am no electrical guy and am concerned with getting everything ran...

    Jedawson1 M37 preservation/restoration

Made good progress so far, Kyle is running out of body parts to remove. We are contemplating how to go about removing the cab while dealing with the electrical.

    Driving thru sand

Bet the Dodge Ram got good fuel mileage driving 55 with the M923. I'm always amazed at how much better my milage is when I drive slow, even in the M923 it makes a difference..... Thanks for sharing your sand experience.

    New Tennessee M1009

How did the show go? That truck looks best in green, I like the M37 in fire engine red, but the 1009 was meant to be green.

I appreciate you posting this, I am intrigued by independent suspensions. Those coils are enormous.

Question about part!!! In the attached picture, under object U is the "Filter, Ignition Assembly 1268949" from page 6 in TM9-1840A in the manual I am having trouble locating details about this part, specifically what wire should be going into it and where should the wire out be going to, what...

    Jedawson1 M37 preservation/restoration

I have a question for you seasoned restorers; I'm going to be priming and painting all of the parts "off the truck" When I re assemble the body, all the bolt's will be unpainted (most replaced with new bolts). Should I prime and put one coat of paint, then re install all the body parts and...

Pulled a halftrack with my M818 for the first time

Nice looking setup, that's an easy load for an M818. Feels good to be self sufficient doesn't it.
