    M923a2 weak point.

My neighbor cut down his 12" cherry tree and left 6' of trunk, we wet the ground and chained up high, then wet the ground. Root ball came out no problem. Leverage can move the world.

    M923a2 weak point.

My experience is that traction will break first empty. Loaded and your likely to break the truck. What diameter is the stump and how tall is it? I've pushed thousands of stumps with a D5 dozer and even some 12'' diameter oaks can give a medium dozer a work out.

General Consensus on Loading a trailer (Weight Displacement)

If you ever have a heavy unbalanced load behind a vehicle at its max GVWR you will you know just how important it is. That said, it is good practice and habit to do so with light loads. 60%to65% of weight forward of the axle is a good rule of thumb, you can over do it. I say keep up the...

    Stuck throttle

I was 12 the first time I had a throttle stick, it was on an old farm truck. I got real nervous and did what I thought was the right thing and turned the key off. That caused the steering column to luck up, I jammed on the brakes as I skid through a barbed wire fence. A day of fencing and...

    GL recovery. Your experiences plz

Looks like Camp Dodge is close enough to be worth a GL gamble, and recovery expense. I have a base by me like that, but they rarely auction off trucks. Hopefully a call to the local gl office or your contact can let you know if they have any trucks waiting the process. Good luck man, I've...

    GL recovery. Your experiences plz

Don't be in a hurry for a GL deal, the cost to get it home isn't cheap usually $1 per mile for fuel plus your time off and fluids if drained. Lots of money in fluids. Ask me how I know, 2 800 mile + recoveries and 1-300 mile recovery. All 5ton variants. If you don't get in a hurry you are...

M923A2 from sparta WI to MPLS, MN

Jeff can pick it up and store the truck at his house until your ready to get it. If you search for inspection Sparta on SS's you'll see he has an A+ rating. He provided me a full written report on what (little) my truck needed and took 30 minutes to do a walk around, he cleared me to drive it...

M923A2 from sparta WI to MPLS, MN

Your not going Far, if possible you may consider driving it home, search for Jeff on this site, JBL I believe is his user name he will inspect and let you know if its drivable. Sparta trucks have a good reputation to be runners. Jeff is a mechanic on base and good as they come, he'll shoot...
