    M35 PULLING A SEMI TRAILER

The tractor in my avatar is an M109A3. He's the same truck w/my M172. I only have an M275A2 and M52A2. But I have had about fifteen tractors. All change overs, M135, M211, M35A2, M109, M109A3.

    GL and SF97s

pa.rich, Yes. However take your "Paid in Full" invoice with you. The catch is some Notaries do not understand how to do the SF97. I had to help teach mine the first time. So the worst you will have to do is find a Notary that knows how to do the paperwork. Other than that, it's just like...

    GL and SF97s

It all boils down to them just having another way to make cash. You figure $60 an SF97 by how many SF97s a month. That has to add up quick.

    Air system questions

Nice idea. Did that to my Peterbilt 362. Make sure you isolate the tanks for the horns from the rest of the system. Rather that be a pressure valve that closes at around 80psi or a manual valve. The train horns take ALOT of air FAST. Before you know it you can drain your entire air system...

    Almost had another Recovery story

On the other end of that. A month ago a Hawbaker(big company in PA) dumptruck was in the ditch next to my house. He made the turn and realized(or should have) that he couldn't make it. Should have backed up and then go. Well he tried to make it. Front driver's side went in followed by the...

    Jack

I go with the jacks and wood like everyone else. Jack stands are ok on good ground. If I have to keep it in the air "for sure" I put railroad ties that are cut to 2' lengths under it. Works in pretty much any situation, good or bad ground conditions.

    EUC's and DRMS

I have some EUCs go right through. Others that bounce around for weeks. My longest was four weeks. The last week of that was approved, but they didn't grab the money. So I waited for my invoice.

    replacing clutch in 1970 m35 a2

A good tranny(preferrably) or floor jack makes it a piece of cake. If you use a floor jack you can end up playing "balance the tranny". It is doable single handedly. Extra set of hands really makes it a walk in the park. Other than taking the shifter off nothing else "in cab" needs to be...

Newb needs help with idle on m35 a2!!!

TheBuggyman has for belt tightening. I like to tighten a little then roll the pulley a little, then tighten a little and roll it a little and so on until I get the tension I want.

    Not A Lurker Anymore.

RE: Re: Not A Lurker Anymore. Welcome!!! From experience...pulling heavier trucks with smaller trucks. I do it far more than what should be done. Watch your braking(keep vehicles straight), corners, going down hills(keep them straught). Be prepared for your arse to be pushed one way or...

Spin On Oil Filters for the Multifuel

I have been thinking for some time of machining some adapters. My plan is for a plate that goes on where the can is now. Then a spin on filter just goes on that. Between the mill and lathe I don't think it'll be much of a deal to make. Just have to get around to it.

RE: Hi! New owner...I See and I thought that "not that there's anything wrong with that" was a Seinfeld reference. Welcome to the forum.
