Hey looking at buying a M35A2 need help

GL is always chock full of surprises. Usually you are very limited in how much you can preview (just a look over, no starting, no test drive). Ya need to have a backup plan when buying from them. At least with private party, you can take your time and carefully look over your purchase. The...

    Lucas oil additive

Late to the game, I will give my 2cents now that things have settled down in this arguement. What I am seeing is that there are a few HUGE egos on this site, even larger than our trucks. Intolerance for opinions different from the "groupthink" that goes on here erupts into pointless p1ssing...

Broke bolt on coolant passages on top of engine... help

This is correct. Add in some taps on the top of the bolt with a hammer too. Walk away. Come back later with more penetrator oil. Tap, tap, tap.. Heat, see if it will budge. Rinse and repeat. This strategy worked for me for broken waterpump bolts on other vehicles.

    Child Carseat in Deuce

Do not underestimate the lengths the Swedes take safety. Have you ever owned a Volvo or SAAB? My mom had a SAAB 9000 that literally saved her life. She rear ended a parked mid 80's Monte Carlo (boat) at highway speed, and walked away without a scratch. The secret is not so much weight, but the...

Westfolk's Steel Oil Spin On Adapters

I thought that it was gov specd, and developed by Continental, then eventually used in the White tractor line on one model.

    M818 Won't crank

Was it parked on grass? I know that here if Fl, parking on grass accelerates corrosion, underside in particular.

M60 gate guard in Newton NJ

The M60 on display at Camp Blanding is in good shape, paintwise. I'll try to remember bringing the camera next time I'm there. Ya just don't realize how BIG those tanks are until you are close enough to touch them. Best looking tank IMO.

I haven't had any luck with ANY Interstate battery.

    M818 Won't crank

Fifth gear would be safest then? The worst that would happen is an engine stall.

    Ebay Mep Warning

A whole mess of 400Hz units came out of Jacksonville a little while back. I almost bid on one till I noticed.

    Purpose of wood bed spacer

As moist as the summer is in Florida, I've never seen shrooms growing out of the bed spacers on the deuces. The post above is correct though, I've seen particle board shelving get damp and grow mold in a matter of days here.

Spent 3 cold days with the Deuce this week

Make sure your exhaust elbow between the turbo and flex pipe doesn't have pinholes in it. That will make for a smelly deuce on startup.

    M818 Won't crank

Our M818 idles at 600RPM. It seems low, but then again that NHC250 is a big 855ci. Also, even with strong batteries it spins over slow for the first 1/2 second, but then speeds up.

    Power Bleeding Deuce Brakes

I did mine at 15 psi. I re-pumped the pressure back up when it dropped down to 10 psi.
