Uh, oh! Anti-freeze In the Oil

Maybe I got it backwards. Trying to remember what a former Army deuce mechanic told me.

can someone in SC look at a truck for me?

Joe helped me out with my first deuce. I needed it hauled off of Ft. Jackson, so he stepped up. Very reliable and nice guy. He even let me park the deuce in his back yard to prep it for the journey home. He pointed out a power plug on a pole in his backyard too, which allowed me to air up...

Redstone to Austin TX Recovery ??'s

Translation please? Wait, I think you mean a "not for hire" sticker is a "come and get me" in the world of trucking. Am I on the right track?

Uh, oh! Anti-freeze In the Oil

Residual pressure in the radiator can hang around for a long time. If you get antifreeze in the oil, but no oil in the antifreeze, I would suspect the oil cooler is bad/leaking. If there is oil in the antifreeze, or if antifreeze is being consumed/rapidly blowing out from overpressure, I would...

    +/- A3 vs A2 Comments!

    Striking resemblance.

    Turbo talk

No keys with deuces, just a little red button. ;-) Welcome.

    +/- A3 vs A2 Comments!

Regarding winch trucks, aren't the A2 PTOs mechanical, whereas the A3 PTOs are hydraulic? Im sure someone knows if there are weight differences also.

i came home today, only to see ....

The only "decoration" I would tolerate on an MV is the Mack Bulldog. Then it would have to be on a Mack powered M52. Then again, I'm a dog person.

    Tow Chains for the Deuce

For straps, rinse out the mud lengthwise, then dry them in the sun. Keep them in a dry place until needed. I LOVE using the straps when recovering ATVs. The rubber band effect really works on those.

    Well looky what I found

If there is nothing wrong with the truck, it seems like thats a good price. I still wouldn't want it, because I'd have to learn a whole new truck. Scott, can you shoot that offhand, i.e. standing without someone holding you up?

    Just a noob saying Hey.

Hey. Lots of bobbers on this site. Us purists tolerate them o.k. ;)

so i got stuck and broke the winch YAY

That is my dads dog. She follows him everywhere and gets terrible separation anxiety. I hope that wandering basset isn't homeless. On the winch, think it is a shear pin that failed?

so i got stuck and broke the winch YAY

That is what you get for eating your nephew. Sorry, I like commas.

    New Florida Title Process?

Strange process, but worth it in the end. After all of the hassle and money, it feels good to get that title. Hey Scrapman, :funny:.

common problems w/ your m35 when you picked it up.

First issue: build yourself a brake bleeder. Often, a good bleed and some pumping of the pedal afterward will "wake up" marginal brakes, provided the lines are sound. Batteries are the next biggest issue. Emergency brakes get stuck sometimes. It doesn't hurt to have another deuce or 5-ton on...

Alright, who picked up my trailer?????

The manufacturer, Utility Tool & Trailer said that those parts are on order and won't be in for a few months. I will let you know when I found something. I agree, it sounds like a mixup on GLs part. It wouldn't be the first time.

Alright, who picked up my trailer?????

Ours is like the one you have in pic 1. Ours was from Ft Jackson, and had the tool boxes and fuel pod brackets. It sounds to me like someone wanted the fuel pod brackets on the trailer you won, so they did a swap. We paid about what you did, so I think you did alright. GL broke the brake...

My New M35 tractor and trailer

THAT is the exact trailer we have. Even the color.

    Primary Filter Confusion

Didn't know you were currently offering them. I was referring to Jatonkas kits. Excellent, but too pricey to change over multiple trucks.

    Primary Filter Confusion

I would like to add that spin on filters are not practical for those of us with a fleet of trucks. Also, after you've handled the conventional filters several times, it gets easier.
