Cable is attached with set screw. I attach the cable to a tree and back up until unwound. Set the parking brake a little and rewind making sure it layers. Then pour used oil over the cable to protect it from rust.

Without the FDC is there a problem EGT's
I bypassed the FDC on the truck, also replaced the "D" turbo with a "C" turbo.
It will fly.
5th gear up hill it will accelerate.
Well I should have used the heat wrench. I snapped one stud off. Good thing there is some sticking out of the manifold so with heat it might come out with no problem.
I got the “C” remounted on the truck I am trading off. The guy getting the truck wanted a C and I don’t really like the...

Might even drill and tap for a pyro when off.
I think I am getting fuel into the oil. I know that fuel can get in if the FDC is leaking but what if the flame heater is leaking. I have so much WMO and ATF in my fuel it is hard to tell by smell but it looks and feels thin and pressure is a little above 15 psi. I also noticed fuel dripping...
Question on packing the knuckle joints?
On the older style ball knuckle joints I see the need to pack them in grease but on the new “U” joint style is there really a need to pack them in grease. I can’t see the grease getting into the “U” joint from being packed. The grease might help keep the...
I have a local rebuilder that might make you a good deal. He built me a 6.5 pump from one of his cores. He originally quoted me $350 but I am not sure that was my price or his going price. I think it is his going price. He builds a lot of pumps and turbos for Ft. Hood.
