    Modifying My Deuce

I added A/C, insulated the cab from noise and heat using products from DB Engineering, www.800nonoise.com, and installed a muffler. There are many threads here about insulation and mufflers- lots of different products available. I also added air-o-matic air-assisted steering. Oops, also added...

    1987 M35A2C Fuel Filters Change

Eureka! A mechanic @ work told me to spray a small amount of silicone spray into the intake, I think post #2 mentioned this about a week ago, no? Glad you got it running!

    Modifying My Deuce

The multi-fuel in my A2 deuce has been running strong for 30 years- I wouldn't consider that "short-lived". Personally, I think you bought the wrong vehicle. The deuce is a great off-road vehicle because of its stock configuration. The only thing you didn't mention changing was the gas cap...

got screwed on an m939.... crap

Also, there are many radiator shops in the valley- maybe yours can be repaired?

got screwed on an m939.... crap

You can't change the past, so like others have said replace the radiator and go from there. It's a good looking truck! If you decide you don't like it, it will probably be easy to sell. Having A/C is awesome- especially out here. I have it in my deuce. Jacks Surplus in Tucson (520) 574-0300...

    Drove the Deuce...Some questions

The only thing I might add would be to drain the oil out of the steering box and refill with new. A gummed up steering box can add to the difficulty in steering. Don't mean to take over thread, but could somebody with front lockout hubs comment further about the benefits such as easier...

    In-tank fuel pump wiring

Banshee, I've never seen a resistor like that in a deuce fuel tank- strange. Many of us have been buying in-tank fuel pumps off a popular auction site for $50.00. Several threads about them. They are direct replacements and fit perfectly. I put mine on 2 years ago and it is running fine and...

How to turn up the air.

Like others have said the frame-mounted regulator which comes with the air assist kit is not needed as the kit can handle the 120 psi put out by the deuce air compressor. There is a safety switch mounted on the firewall which shuts off air to the steering if the tank pressure falls below 60 psi...

How to turn up the air.

I've never had a low pressure issue with my air-o-matic. After I saw this thread, I timed mine and it takes 3 minutes to reach 120 psi. I have been through my air system and it has no detectable leaks. Will hold pressure for at least a week although after that time it's down close to zero. To...

    Window change

Check out TM 9-2320-361-20, pages 11-6, 11-7 and 14-5. The illustrations and instructions will make a lot more sense than we can just posting here.

    How to repair canvas tear?

    Looks good!

    How to repair canvas tear?

I too, have a canvas cover. If you can tear the torn area any more by hand, it's done for. One the other hand, the repair mentioned by Mules sounds pretty simple. It might be worth it to try to get your cover to last as long as possible.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month - June VOTE HERE!

m715mike- You made many campaign promises last time and I voted for you. Not one of your promises came true so how can I, in good conscious, vote for you again?
