    Locked rear axles

I have the original air-o-matic instructions. They are on large sheets- too large to copy. PM me a mailing address and I will just mail them to you along with my install notes. Mark

    M35a3 Soft top dye/paint?

Try talking with Mona Roth at New Life Canvas. I bought my canvas cargo cover from her and she is very helpful. As they make all of their canvas products, she may be able to help. www.newlifecanvas.com 218-564-4814 Let us know if you find a solution- many others have faced the same problem...

    Air Assist- OPINIONS wanted

I put it on my deuce and it is well worth it. It makes a huge difference- I wouldn't be without it. Full hydro is best but expensive. Treva2 says he is selling one for $1200 which is a good price. Treva, is that NOS or a take off?

M35A2 Frame Up Restore Labor of Love

Albert- that is absolutely fabulous! We've talked about this several times but I had no idea how much work you put into this. The paint job looks better than factory- not bad for somebody who hates to paint! :-) I can't wait to see it in person- are you going to put the canvas cargo cover on...

Oil all over motor, where should I start looking?

The antifreeze must be specifically formulated for Diesel engines. Don't use antifreeze made for gasoline cars and trucks- it doesn't contain the additives necessary for Diesel engines. I bought mine at NAPA but don't remember the name.

Oil all over motor, where should I start looking?

Ditto what Clinto said- you'll never pinpoint a leak on an engine that dirty.

    Covered dash lights/buzzers

Lots of guys have tried different things but I don't think anybody has come up with a good solution yet. I'm thinking about finding a gooseneck lamp to mount on the dash and shine on front of the gauges.

Shop that rebuilds mulitifuel injector pump

Just curious why you had it rebuilt? There are members here selling "new" depot rebuilt pumps for less than you paid.

Question about steering wheels on the M35?

SS member M-35 Tom sells a full hydro power steering conversion kit which allows you to move the steering column up higher for more legroom. Here's the link: http://waterloospecialties.com/

Welcome from Arizona! Be sure to do some research so you know what you're getting into. I love my deuce but it does require regular maintenance. Good luck

    Newbie to Steel Soldiers

Several members here use a deuce for a daily driver but here are some things to think about: The turning radius is huge- parking in a parking lot is difficult. When I take mine out there are some places I can't go because of parking limitations. Adding power steering will be an enormous...

    Testing oil pressure gauge

The measurements are in ohms. I replaced all my gauges and sending units about a year ago, and don't remember how to test them- but- if you call or email Erik at www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com, he will walk you through it. Simple procedure but I can't remember it. I noticed my 60 psi oil gauge...

Brake lights still dont work , something wrong else where ?

I second that suggestion- no telling what's going on with them until you look at them yourself.

    rotating safety light

DB- I'm with you, I just like the old school rotating beacons. Must be an "age" thing (for me). Ducer- I think your right about parts availability. "dcaptain would be a good place to start for used parts.
