I wish my fire departments ran sales like this. My county FD even the volunteer ones dispose of surplus thru the main county surplus auction, and it almost never worth driving the 5mi. to go see it. Never any Mil surplus these days either.
Jim do you have any pics of what they look like? If you have a number of them it might be cheaper to cut your own from a sheet of material. I can point you in the direction of some good suppliers of various types of sheet material. I just purchased some yesterday for a niche application.
Some of the newer ones also have a different lifting points. Instead of just a ring they used plate steel with holes cut in them. I think it was just a upgrade for later A2s though.
I have been mainly towing my 3/4ton M116 withe M1009 which if past threads are correct is 12v to the trailer. Anyways it works just fine, so I assume it has 12v bulbs in the trailer. A few weeks ago I had to tow the M116 with the deuce, and I did not have any bulb failures. This was daytime...
Everytime I read your title I can't help thinking about how much extra liability insurance I would buy with two boys driving. These deuces are like battering rams on wheels. At least they won't be doing much speeding. Nice truck.
That is kind of cool. A portable officers dinner maybe? I would like that flashlight ahead of it to point into neighbor's bedrooms when they tick me off.
bottleworks I believe that the hollow bolt is 1"x 14tpi not that it maters for your plans. I have been planning something like you showed in your drawing too. Are you thinking of running plumbing from each ex-filter housing for the extra flow? Any psi readings before and after with your...
RE: j-pipe
rfischba1 if you replace your rotted J pipe can I have it? I am trying to obtain a bad pipe that I can use for testing noise reduction of mufflers and baffles.
This is probably a long dead end and no one makes a modern low micron filter/anti-back filter. Marcus your BT124 is interesting as it has the the anti-drian back valve, but no one makes it in modern filter media. If it was an easy swap to the deuce it might be ok, but it would either need the...
Bjorn is the threaded rod you are measuring the hollow hold down bolt? From the diagram it looks like the hold down bolt threads into part 11 which looks to adapt it to the casting.
Opcom I don't think a stock location oil filter adapter is going to work as you would still have no drain back...
RE: Re: Headphones recommendations while driving Duece
What you need is an intercom for your duece. That will provice both hearing protection, communication to others in the cab, and it is possible to hook in both radio and cell. I suggest a modern aviation setup. It is high quality, and all...
I got NAPA number 605-3252 as the part number for the 1"x20tpi bottle when I priced it with them. At least here they only carry it at the hub stores. I second houdel advice NAPA is about $40 for a bottle. With some leg work you should be able to get it for around $25 a bottle. My bottle is a...
