    Inverter Help.

I have been into alternative energy for many years. The inverter that will be going in my new shop is a Trace. If these are built by Trace and are reasonably priced I would jump on them. Trace is the last word in inverters IMHO.

    Almost had another Recovery story

If he was there because he was driving like a moron that was the best place for him. He could have been drunk, doped up or just acting a fool. You were probably right in erring on the side of caution. If he destroyed private property he should be held accountable. I'm sure the police sorted...

    Yellow Headlights

I was in Germany during 74-76 and put many miles on deuce as a mess hall/supply room driver. I was in a signal unit near Frankfurt and some our vehicles had the yellow lights. When you asked for replacement lights you never knew what kind would show up. They seemed to work good in the fog and...

15.5's wow what a difference W/10" rim build

I think I get the concept of how you widened the rims but a step by step picture show would help a lot. How many stock rims would it take to make six modified rims? I have a cutting torch, mig and stick welders so I think I could do it if I need to single out tires when I get a deuce. Anyone...

Possible barn find....what could it be

Today I was perusing the local Buy/Sell magizine and I see: "Army 2-Ton truck. 4x4, front and back winches, diesel, 5 speed with low/high range". I gave the guy a call and its' one of those "it belonged to Dad and we used it on the farm" stories. 8) He said it has a steel flatbed with...

Pimp my ride - MV style...or lack thereof...

You forget to fill the bed with 10K worth of obnoxiously loud stereo equipment and some video screens inside to complete the drooling moroon's wet dream. :cookoo: This area of the country needs a good dose of chlorine in the gene pool.

    What's This Receptacle For?

To quote the late Jimmy Durante "hot cha cha cha, I godda' million of um'". I've always found that if you don't have a lot of common sense :cookoo: a good sense of humor is the next best thing.

    What's This Receptacle For?

An interesting aside to the whole Bobbit saga. When Lorraina Bobbit threw the offending organ from her car it struck a female pedestrian in the face. She later sued Lorraina claiming that after the incident she became "cockeyed". Wreckermans ideal woman: A deaf, dumb, blind, large...

V903C on GL in Anniston Alabama

We had some 20 ton cranes that had these engines as the prime mover. They are very heavy for the amount of HP you get out of them. Not sure about the blower/turbo aspect of these engines. The ones in our cranes were naturally aspirated. I think they were also the engine in the M-123 tractor...

    m1009 rear window

The rear window in the CCCVs were a bane to evey driver assisgned to one. They were designed by an idiot after consulting a moron. They were most prone to failure (in the down position) during cold, wet weather. My unit still has a bunch of them at Camp Shelby, MS. Last summer I rode in...
