Anyone used Harbor Freights 20lb pressurized sandblaster?

I got a flyer from Harbor Fright yesterday. They have that sand blaster on sale. They also have a big one inch air wrench like the truck stop tire shops use for 100 bucks. If I don't find a better deal I'm going to buy both next week.

    tractor and trailer

I'd give my right gonad for that tractor trailer rig. When I was stationed at Fort Benning we had several of those. We used them to pull forklifts and our D-8 dozers. The 5-tons would grunt a little but they would pull the D-8's any where we wanted them.

Wow NO POSTS, well we can't have that!!

Those M-1's look like they were in Korea. I was in 2nd Tank, 2nd ID in 1994. Right up on the DMZ at Camp Casey. We had one that flipped over into a rice paddy and was tracks up. The crew was safe due to "roll over drills" that taught them how to survive such an event. :D Since the...

    fmtv made... different?

379 GRAND!!!!!!ARE THEY DRUNK  :?: You could buy a whold fleet of vintage MV's for that. You could buy a salvage deuce, a brand new FTV cab, upgrade the tires, trim, etc., and build you own for far less than that. It doesn't even have a crew cab. That reminds me of the International...

    Titles & Virginia

If all else fails get a copy of Hemmings Motor magazine. There are several companies that specialize in getting titles for older vehicles. I think one of them is here in Alabama. This may not be as big a PITA as you think. 8) Hey...if this hobby was easy anybody could own one. :D

Whats the scoop on dumps in Mississippi and more trucks LA

I addressed this on a diffferent thread a few days ago. My unit has a Brigade down there and I visit there occassionally. There is a rebuild shop on Camp Shelby that was remanufacturing the 800 series trucks. They have gone to the 900 series now due to all the trashed ones coming out of Iraq and...

    Found some in the boneyard

Since they were burried up to the beds in junk cars and briars I could only see that one had a hard top...the other may have had one and it just caved in. :?: I am not seriously contemplating getting them now unless I unload the Chem trailers real quick (hint, hint). If I get by there...

    Found some in the boneyard

When I found the Chemical Shelter trailers in a local boneyard I asked if they had any other MV's. :?: I was shown two CCKW's that had been Civil Defense vehicles. 8) The yard guy said they had been there at least nineteen years. They had surface rust and exposure damange. They can probably be...

    This thing is huge!

Ya got to love the gooberment. What is ironic about this situation is that the military is paying a buttload of money for new parts and at the same time said parts are going out the back door at discount prices. I used to do a lot of dumpster diving when I was in the Active Army. Our...

Introduction and confession of a pack rat....

Twelve step program? We don't need no stinking twelve step program!!! :x We don't suffer from an addiction, we enjoy every minute of it. :D The best you can hope for is to die flat broke with a big collection of MV's in your yard. Welcome to the looney bin. [thumbzup]

    Rockcrawlerboy looking for Wrecker parts

To save time and money I would jack that thing up and run a complete one up under it. :D That being said I guess it would be fun to scavenge for parts and put the beast back together. 8) I have too short an attention span and too little masochist in me to tackle a project like that...

DOD Special Agent wants to see my truck

In the immortal words of Ronald Regan (the greatest president of the last century) "trust bit verify". If you have to meet this person face to face I would ask for ID and a number to call to verify identity.

    Lift gate on a deuce?

I have operated several vehicles equipped with lift gates, both straight trucks and trailers. You would probably have to have a long bed deuce (I think they made a version that hauled rockets) due to the fact that the gate needs room to fold up under the bed of the truck ( that's how it worked...

    Yaller 5-ton wrecker for sale

As of last week "Old Yaller" was still there. :) It has been moved to the back of the property, either under it's own power or towed. 8) It may have been bought and is awaiting pickup. DAMIFINO :?: Since I invested in the chemical shelter trailers I can't buy anything else military without...

    Rockcrawlerboy looking for Wrecker parts

If you can find the thread "Yaller wrecker for sale" check it out. You can get the whole vehicle for $2400.00. You just have to get it back to "the Land of Northern Aggression". It was still up there (northeast Alabama) as of last Thursday. I want it but it's a gasser and I need a wrecker...

Find your local Veteran's Day Parade here - website link

I posted a notice a while back about the Birmingham, AL Vets Day parade. It is the oldest in the country and one of the largest. My unit and our own 313th Army Band will be marching in this event Saturday. It is loaded with vintage and modern military equipment. 8) If you are within 200...

    Construction Equipment

Detriot diesel powered/electric driven. An early Hybrid? How did you end up with two of them. :?: What did Uncle Sam use them for. :?: Inquiring (nosey) minds want to know. :D

    Construction Equipment

Errrrr......doesn't this just about describe any hobby we engage in :?: If it has t*ts, wheels or tracks, it's gonna cost ya money.
