Nice! Thanks for the input guys, I`ll try to dig in to this problem this weekend....if i can find some time between the farm chores....planting season is upon us, and the unseasonably warm weather has kick-started the alf-alfa...big time. My 2nd season acreage is pretty darn close to knee high...

    Starter Switch questions...

Hi guys, The problem Im having is that the switch sometimes just does not work when I push it in. I have to "pump" the switch every once in a while, then it works. Other times, I get in, hit the button, and it works instantly. Im fairly certain this is not a starter or solenoid problem as I am...

    Starter Switch questions...

Hi all, I’ve been battling an intermittent starter switch (push-button style) in my deuce. I was wondering about the ¼ turn style I have seen in some of the deuces (see attached picture)….are these readily available? Are they a switch specific to the m35a2, or is it the same switch as the one...

m35 from Mechanicsburg, PA to Angola, NY

I drove mine from Mechanicsburg to Pittsburgh without any issues. I took the chance and it paid off, but I was lucky and had no trouble mechanically or legally. Being that you are from NY, would NY issue you a temp. registration? I tried to get one in PA and it wasnt possible, however if I...

Hey Jared, didnt realize that was you man! Glad to see you on board here, you`ve found your second home for this stuff! If you really dont want to drive it back, have him talk to Dom Folino, he hauled Russ`s first deuce back from mechanicsburg. Annville is actually a bit closer, have to talk to...

Anneville Pa to Pittsburgh PA: Need Price Quote

Drove mine from Mechanicsburg to Bethel Park without a hitch. Well....not entirely true, lost a windshield wiper along the way, in he dead of winter, in a snow storm on the turnpike...that was close. But thats why its important to bring along at least 1 dedicated friend.....he played the part of...

What is the pipe that sticks out of the passenger side below the headlight called

Im sure the experts will chime in, but I believe that is the tube for the swingfire heater. Part of the arctic prep package for the deuce, it is used to heat the engine in arctic climates. I believe it operates similar to the fuel-fired in-cab heater, but is primarily for keeping the engine at...

    Does anyone double-clutch?

I double-clutch up and down, makes for a smoother ride and is easier on drive train components. Just my 2 cents worth...

    H-161 Headset Ear Cushions

The cushions on my headsets are rather worn out as well. I am going to try and revive them with a thin, lightweight, soft styrofoam. Take off the outer plastic cover, trace the inner ear piece, cut install, and replace the cover. I think it will work!

    Installed VIC-1 in my Deuce.

Panzer, I cant speak for Snarky, but I am assuming he installed the inverter because it was convenient (while doing the rest of the wiring). An inverter is not necessary if you wish to install a complete VIC-1 intercom system in to your vehicle. Although an MX-7777 military surge suppressor is...

Looking for Alcohol Evaporator Kit for M35A2

If you are referring to mine, I believe I paid just over $110 for it after shipping. Purchased frm Ebay. I didnt think it was too expensive, as the kit comes with everything needed including easy directions. It fits just like an NOS kit should, and it serves the purpose. One point, the original...

    Brake Bleeding Unnecessary on Deuce?

Stumps, to clarify, want I meant by "sketchy", was that they will not tolerate a hole, leak, or other malfunction, even if everything else is perfect. Just didn`t want to see anyone get hurt. But I agree with everything you said  A+++ on the brake maintenance schedule!, I just wish I...

    Brake Bleeding Unnecessary on Deuce?

WHOA trumps GO anyday! The Deuce brake system is really sketchy, even when it is in perfect condition. I would advise going over the entire system, locate and repair problems, and THEN take`r for a ride. If there is a leak in the sytem, disaster could be right around the corner, and the...

    Now I've Done It!

Welcome to the addiction! This ought to be called MV`s Anonymous, it only gets worse from here on out......look at it this way, at least its a healthy addiction. check, double check, and triple check your brakes......then check them some more. Change all fluids & filters, (esp. fuel system...

    Installed VIC-1 in my Deuce.

Looks good Snarky, you`ll really enjoy the VIC-1. I tossed around with the idea for a while before I finally broke down and bought one. If you do much roadway driving (45+ mph), the VIC really helps the in-cab communication! Not to mention it doubles as an Accoustic Suppression Kit for your...
