    Follow on to Parade Winners...

We split the difference with ours to try and please everyone, it's clean, no no rust, no leaky oil or grease steaks, and fresh non-gloss army paint, but it also has quite a few 'artifacts' with it to try and make it look more period and just get conversation rolling, like the pioneer rack and...

    Parade winners?

383 Green CARC lookalike, but I can't remember who we bought the paint from, it was one of those 50/50 thinner paint mixes you put on with a spray gun

    Parade winners?

No parades yet, but we did enter it in a car show this summer, won 2nd place in the MV division, but win lose or draw, it was a REAL crowd pleaser The kids loved it, the vets loved it, everyone loved it We had a lot of folks lined up on the curb giving us the "keep it rolling" sign as we...

Road trip to Ft. Bragg comming up in Jan...

No info yet, Walt's a bit of an impulse buyer, as you may have guessed for his blind-buying of the deuce in the first place that we could easily have inspected for him, but, water under the bridge. Don't know what condition this motor is in, there was an absolutely fresh one (zero mile, rebuilt...

Road trip to Ft. Bragg comming up in Jan...

After getting Walter's M35 home, and getting a better chance to look it over, we've discovered that the block is cracked, and pretty severely too. Looks like someone forgot to put antifreeze in it  So, Walt has essentialy bought himself a 6 ton paperweight, but fear not! For he emailed...

    armament for MV's...

A resin replica showed up a while back with no bids, and a buy it now price of like only $180 or somthing, iI shoulda jumped all over that one, but we hadn't even begun to restore the M35 at that point

    armament for MV's...

Found this guy's site last night, don't know anything else other than what's shown, worth a look http://users.multipro.com/brentandloriann/PROD02.HTM

How much to repair this deuce?

I agree with the majority concensus here, don't walk, run from that one, for about $3,000, you could find one on GL that HASN'T had the shit beat out of it. If the body is any indication, imagine what the yahoos who wrecked it did to the motor, or the tranny........ And the tone that guy...

We got Walter's M35 home safe and sound

Ugg, it was Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA, most of those other deuces were for sale, in fact, auctions on 4 or 5 of them ended the day we were there. Check GL and you can probably find more

    Deuce sound effects wav files!!!

Dumb question in the back of the class! Yeah, the Redneck with his hand up... Uh, how do you get these to download? You need to be regisgered or somthing?

Size of lettering for stencils for Deuce

We used 3'' for the "US ARMY" legend and truck/unit #'s, and 1'' for all the auxilliary markings (TP/fuel tank/battery box/etc)

    Disk brakes for the Deuce

I was just about to mention that setup that they had, but I agree with your assessment, it's a "Gee, that's neat" feature that wouldn't be worth the cost if you just drive your deuce in a smart and safe manner and keep your brakes maintained.

How do you activate Windshield wipers ???

If you've never used your wiper motors before, they may be stuck/dead, but you can get replacements if this is the case, and if worst comes to worst, you can manualy operate them, or better yet, coerce a passenger into operating them for ya :D

    Turning green!

When we took the fender off ours to replace it with a non-dented one, it was a two man job just because of weight, the fender itself is held on with just a few bolts, but remember that the headlight on that side of the truck and the "window' piece around it are part of the fender, so when you...

    Why 24V system

I may be wrong, but I was always under the impression that a starter that ran off of 12v didn't have enough power to get the engine started. At least not in the 60's 70's And since the starter was wired for 24, they just wired everything else that way for ease of maintenence

Looking for Deuce connections in FL

If at all possible, don't buy without inspecting first, first-hand visual inpsection at the least, test drive at the most. It's easy to get carried away by all the excitement, just don't get so excited that you end up buying a six ton paperweight with no easy way to get it off the lot There's...

    Deuce values...?

From personal experience, this is what we've noticed when shopping for M35's - Trucks that need minor to major work but are otherwise salvagable seem to go for around $2500 to $3K -Sound trucks that can be driven off the lot, but have noticable cosmetic damage/rust or other minor mechanical...
