Neither did I but I wanted to show that by comparison there are worse TM's out there. The sad thing is I had to explain it to the HQ inspection team and item managers, on what it actually meant, the original guys are long gone. Unfortunately on that item there is no better way to do the...
I think you guys got spoiled by the M35 TM's. With the truck being as old as it is, lets just say it had a fair share of reviews. While I suspect the TM's were decent from the start, I'm fairly certain they have been refined with age.
Where as your M925 series, is younger and is a not as...
Good Thread.
I'll have to remember this for when Minot gets rid of their WT2206's and I happen to get one...LOL Personally i like the newer cabs better, that signiture windshield is iconic.
Ours are diesels...
BTW nice shots of K.I Sawyer jim!
Need to check my prescription, I read his most three times hoping there was a name...
I guess I saw it as a description of the job they did vs the name of the equipment.
Whatever...
Thanks!
I personally wouldn't pass on the high mileage on mileage alone. A properly maintained truck will be fine, but this is usually something I as an operator would assess and make my decision.
High mileage auction units are avoided.
This is why I reply to threads like this. It's all fun and games till someone losses their life. In the words of wing safety, a class A mishap is a one way trip to the hospital.
Unless I'm remembering incorrectly an M35 if properly tiedown should have a minimum of 6 chain and binder...
I'm just going to throw this out there, and you can take it or leave how you want. I personally and a lot of others here try to Mod or plan to Mod the trucks so they are better than the military made them. Take Soni's rig as the perfect example of what the military should have done as an...
Nope, and neither would the DOT as previously mentioned.
Bridge formula's typically limit axle loading to 20k, or 34k in tandem unless the axle spread is greater than 96". It's pretty complicated and I don't deal in it at all in my line of work. Just limited knowledge, Timothy obviously...
What you have to check that stuff before use...surely you jest. I mean if that were the case there would be a "before" table under PMCS for which to use...
I'll be the first to admit if I had a tilt hood on the M915 it would be a lot easier. I'll also admit that laziness will in sue and...
My comment was half way facetious. My Father in Law runs the truck shop at a local fabricator. Oil outfits by T800's or the like and they are delivered to the shop as is. The shop then retrofits them, heavily, for oil-field work. The latest runs weren't very extensive. However some of his...
Which maybe why he wants to stick to Ft Meade recoveries...some states don't need D.O.T. numbers if you don't leave the state. IFTA is another ball of wax...
That's funny I was not aware you could legally change your GCVW as set by the manufacture.
I was more worried about the trailer...but it seams you've firgured out how to change the GCWR of the truck in the registration so that neither manufactures ratings no longer matter. Maybe you should...
