    Spin on fuel filter heaters

I have a in-line Arctic Fox fule heater that runs off coolant and has a 12volt pre-heat. I plan to install it on my F350 come summer. If I like it I plan to run their in tank versions for my fleet. If you don't like the price of the wrap you won't like the in-line version...

The USAF K100's were all keyed differently, like a civilian truck.

The auxiliary power unit (APU), is used for power on site. I believe it provides 208 volts three phase through a fairly unique channel plug. The PT trailer has a power cord that plugs into either facility power at the AS&I building or the APU. When loaded the trailer must be powered at all...

    Looking at 923's

I have my M915 registered to myself, however it's under the control of the business and insured that way. The IRS receives tax from the company. There is nothing liability wise that changes if it was under my name alone. The clear difference is my truck is used by me alone as I currently have...

TE's are NTC-400's I know that for sure. I would have bet money they used the same across the fleet, PT's, TE's and PMT/EMT MX Truck's. 300's a good motor as well. Boeing configured the PT for use (which included the tractor), most is off the shelf, the APU which you don't have has some...

    Anyone on SS do this??

I'd rather have rust on my MV than Chrome!

    It's 12 volt, and I'd bet money it is a NTC-400.

gl wins on 1/12/12- missed the thread

You can look up the bid results by event and lot number. Unfortunately Demil B and Q will not save in your closed watchlist. It's a GL policy.

They USAF kicked them out after so many miles don't know what that is off top of my head it's a mildly complex forumula that takes into account age, mileage and annual cost, compared to replacement. In the end a chief makes the call and most Motor Pool Chiefs are now a civilian job created and...

New EPA Regulations On Large Truck Emissions

The terrorists after 9/11 said they would be back to destroy the US from the inside. Who's running CA and the EPA? 2 Billion to retrofit CA trucks... Starting to remind me of what GM did to the Red Car and subsequent trucking did to the railroad. Railroads destroyed by greed, replaced by an...

    NASA Missile Hauler...

No it's not new, it was 20 year old surplus when the photo was taken, 14 years before I was born. While searching for Payload transporter photos today in an attempt to help 2duece out on his Kenworth COE question I stumbled across these two photos of an M26A1 hauling Saturn 5 sections during...

Nope...PT tractor and then Reg number the USAF hasn't used M series designation for quite some time. It makes it hard to find a truck on the line but after a few months you can take any reg number and now exactly what truck it was. I think the PT trucks are numbered 81BXXXX, 91BXXXX, 03BXXXX...

Pretty sure all of them including the 2003 Freightliners, and the conventional replacements had or have automatics. The 81 and 91 series, had the annoying drop down air warning bar when air pressure dropped. Yeah that goofy stop sign attached to a bar under the sun visor.

I believe the 80's models had NTC-400's in them but they were replaced a few years back and I don't have any to look under. I know the MMT guys liked the older ones cause they moved. It would help if you could narrrow down what agency used the truck. Edit: The Air Force used the Kenworth...

wrecker 816 vs 936 whitch is better

Seeing the wrecker prices this last week, I'm almost tempted. Like Wreckerman said your first step should be insurance, if you don't like the answers, that may make up your mind completely. Personally I'd like the M936.
