This doesn't look so bad to me.
First gear is chewed up.
Some rust on a few parts.
The input shaft has a bit of a wobble to it.
I didn't notice anything else that looked worn out.
My M35A2 is new to me. I have only owned it for 5 months now. I've only been driving it for 2 months. My transmission is in bad shape and will be removed from the truck today after work. I know it has gear oil but I don't know what type.
I'm trying to learn everything I can but when I put a question out there they mostly go unanswered.
So instead of working on the truck I end up searching the Internet for the answers. They may not even be the right answers, but that's what I found.
This is a link to Spicer's page. Look under "service manuals" then go to ES60-5 & CM59 series.
It may help.

i paid $6,500 for mine. it's in about the same condition. you will be spending a minimum of $1,000 and at least 100 hours on bearing and seals (just like i did) from what i see in your pictures. i think i paid too much. i hope this helps.

Mine is bolted to the web in the doorway. The nut is welded to the bolt. I have seen others like this too. I never saw any of the others mentioned above.
You may need to take out some shims from the front side to tighten up the pinion shaft. The front (input side) seems to wear out before the rear (output side).
I hate my air powered wipers and plan on getting electric ones. I have gotten my wipers to work perfectly only to have them act up the next time I turned them on. They are so out of here.
