Updating/correcting the above, i am running a 3 part line. With that, i should have a 20,000 lb lift capacity, which i dont think i have, unless the rear weighs over 20k, but i just dont see it.
Thank you for the correction in size. Im now having to look at a conversion chart every time for some reason. I guess i kicked off the hyd line sizing penguins off the iceberg to make room for rivet sizing penguins.
If you dont have a parts manual for that tck, you can measure the o/d of the line or take one of each fitting the metal lines connect to, and have the hyd shop match the fitting with the appropriate size line. I dont remember the - number and sizing, but i think a -10 line is a 3/4” line, -8 is...
As to not hijack other threads with different issues. Current and past issues have been the crane winch will not lift know load weights, less than the advertised capacity or 20,000 lbs, ie. a log CAT scaled at 12,400 lbs. Doing some research here i found where a member was having a swing issue...
I actually have a rim that the o-ring shield is not round anymore. Some pvt or depot worker must have jammed something between the bead lock ring and the rim half, for whatever reason, bending the crap out of it.
I came across that issue on my 7th tire of the day, replacing the fmtv oem valve...
If you can stop, using the pull vehicle and towed vehicle brake, sure. But only for a short (20 miles or less) distance and had no other choice at that specific time.
Iv pulled 34,400 lbs, 10,400 lbs over loaded with my 1tn dually. Was only going 4 miles and decided to take the chance. Was it...
@Mario
looking at the TMs i have, the driven side (driver side, drum lock and free spool/engage handle) or non powered side as you called it, TM 9-2320-260-34P-2 FIG 380 item # 7 P/N 10875107-7 NSN 5330-01-119-5801 and in the tm link you provided TM 9-2320-272-34P-2 FIG 387 item # 34 large...
try this TM. TM 9-2320-260-34P-2 it shows the pto dive shaft and chain
for the above mentioned tm i posted, Fig 380, item # 59 P/N: 17657/55-542465 and NSN 5330-01-150-9691
and for additional P/Ns try this link, already on the above mentioned NSN...
I have 2 L/FMTV rims that is leaking, even with a new oring and wire brushing and wheeling the halves and fresh coats of paint. I ordered some tar caulk strips, which we use when installing windows in aircraft.
it took 6pc of caulk strips to go around oring and laid it between the studs and the...
According to the tm, what you are describing, sounds like the load holding brake.
Is the brake directly inline with the motor/input shaft?
If so, according to the tm, it is the load holding brake. I need to order some brake material from mcmast carr and replace it. When i opened the cover, the...
Sucks to be commifornia. All 70,000+ O/O need pop smoke to driver friendly states and let the state reap what they sow. Starve that state out of the union.
I tried the search function before posting and couldnt find what i was looking for.
I am trying to put drag tension on the front winch, to prevent rat nesting the cable as i free spool it.
The tm says to turn clockwise to apply tension. I turned till it wouldnt turn anymore and still no tension...
I threw my soleniod in the garbage when it started acting up and not disengaging/retracting when i would turn the eng over. I just use the kill cable already installed.
Line up how, up/down or fore/aft? If fore/aft, a come a long to pull the rear axle or porta power to push from the intermediate axle. If you need to pull the axle forward, a come a long from the front axle or other solid object (tree) in front of the tck. Iv porta powered or used another tck...
As discussed during our call, it was due to me plumbing the new svc/emerg chamber like the oem chamber. I had to plug one port on the svc side instead of plumbing in to block atop of the axle.
I would agree with the diaphragms being bad, if i hadnt replaced the svc/emerg chamber with a nib...
Ken,
I too am running into this issue with my rear rear left side, left front and forward rear right side. i knew the left rr chamber was leaking from the spring side, and even though i ordered new diaphragms to rebuild ALL cans, i also ordered a new svc/emerg chamber from memphis. when i...
I cant remember which youtubers it was, but they were having a very similar issue. One ended up being, as fuzzytoaster said, unloader valve, and the other guy, it was a check valve in the dryer.
One of the guys started at the dryer, pressure checking from the dryer inlet port, working his way...
I just went to tractor supply and got a pkg of 1/4” regular roll pins. I wasnt gonna search for the OEM ones once i looked the nsn up and found out it was 1/4”.
i didnt have time to wait on shipping for it since i needed other maint to be performed while i was out of country for 3wks and wasnt...
Got pin #7 replaced with ease. Couldnt get #5 out, even after heat and beat with an air hammer. If someone else runs in to this issue, good luck to ya.
