Got things figured out with the help from chris at memphis equipment. If someone else ends up with the same can i did, it’ll work and may or may not require a call to memphis equip to get it figured out.
I had a spring brake chamber leaking down and finally got around to replacing it. I ordered one from memphis equipment. I installed it and it doesnt seem the caging bolt functions properly or not all. Iv never seen a caging bolt like the one that came with it, nor have i seen the type of chamber...
Is that the swing motor or gearbox?
I would venture to say that has some to with the swing issue, but its odd that without a load, it operates fairly normal but under a load, it doesnt. May be more stuff chewed up.
@KN6KXR i think you may be on to something with the bearings being bad/corroded or congealed grease, but i would think even congealed grease, would be able to pushed through. when you are picking up a load and trying to rotate it, where are you picking the load from, directly off the back, 90*...
@KN6KXR i tore one motor down and rebuilt it. Took about 1hr after i got it opened up. Putting it back together though, i couldnt get it perfectly back aligned to where i could spin the sq drive or the output shaft by hand. So i snugged the bolts down to where the shaft would barely turn by...

Been fighting that too. Iv found that if i turn the wiper on and sometimes have to give the wiper arm some assistance to get moving, but then it stops leaking once i turn the wiper off.
im gonna replace the air wipers with electric ones.

I use a 30gal volume tank and it runs my 3/4” just fine for rmving or tightening the lugnuts. I plumb in at the emerg gladhand and use a 1/2” hose for the impact.
SO, pin #7 broke at some point and found it when i went to put the outrigger in place, the adjustable leg dropped to the ground. I tried driving pin #5 out and dang near broke my thumb/hand with a 3lb hammer. Has anyone had to drive these pins out? According to wbparts, they are not roll pins...
Iv got 395s on my M936A2 and used the lmtv wheels that came mounted on the tires. Havent had a chance to take it more than a 30-40 miles drive round trip. Cant answer for how well they wear
Im not in Fl, but my dmv did as mullaney said their dmv did, and just added a bunch of zeros to the s/n to create the vin. As for insurance, i went through progressive on the commercial side of the house and I dont have to store it in some special shelter and it cost half what hagerty quoted me...
As an faa certificated mech and supervisor, if during maint, i do it, or allow a subordinate perform maint outside the scope of the maint manual or deviate from the manual, just bc its been done before without incident, allow the task to be signed off in accordance with said manual, and i signed...
