If you spray "break free" or something on it and let it soak, and then if it doesn't slide off, make a puller by drilling 2 holes in a piece of 1/2" flat bar and put a length of cold roll or a socket (spacer)where the crankshaft bolt was. When you tighten the two bolts through the flat bar it...
Not too bad here. It was 107F today. Most homes here don't have air conditioning unless they are newly built for Californians moving here. Its a heat wave, and it will pass within a week.
Id pull it off and soak it in something that won't harm the seals, but has lubrication/penetration (sounds porno) qualities like diesel fuel or transmission fluid. maybe immersed in a bucket for a few days. It wouldn't hurt it any more since you are looking at buying a new one anyways.
Without knowing if the problem just developed, or you bought the truck that way, Id Guess the torque valve is malfunctioning somehow. http://jatonkam35s.com/DeuceTechnicalManuals/MaradyneSB82805airassistinstallation.pdf
there are better vehicles available for pulling a 31 foot trailer on Logging roads. I drive my old subaru on logging roads. A Deuce turns terrible and backing a trailer would be a PITA. They shine for logging off road, plowing snow, or using it as a camper with a box in the back. BTW Boyce has...
Most of the pre lube systems require a hybrid oil drain plug with a suction line on it. My problem with that is tree branches and stumps can damage it, and Im off road often in the woods.
If you want to save time playing internet tag and researching, pull the fuel line off the tank and turn on the ignition (don't crank) to make sure the internal tank is pumping. If yes, reconnect it and go to the frame mounted primary fuel filter. loosen the discharge line and turn on the...
You are correct about the chinese rubber products. even on the CV axle boots on cars, if it was made in china, chances are the boot will rip about the same time the joint fails too. Mexico and Indonesia both seem to have decent products too.
I don't mean to start a argument, but Ive seen a few posts on how grease and oil eats boots. Not True. Do research and keep in mind there are 50 million cars with CV axles filled with grease. Your grease gun hose is reinforced rubber, your transmission cooling lines, oil lines, and fuel lines...
When I owned a Dodge/cummins, I used this as a precleaner often. it worked better than anything else including a solvent sprayer hooked up to my compressor...
Personally I wouldn't put any used oil in my fuel unless its filtered to less than one micron, using a REAL centrifuge that has a retention time in the bowl for at least 4 minutes and has been preheated to over 140F. Used oil should look like new oil when completely clean, but most of the...
