    M936A2 service brakes

@Mullaney As pictured in my post, my service g/h does have a vent a d it is open and it does allow air to escape. The problem is between the g/h, the treadle valve and the svc chamber. It might be the treadle valve is bad and not exhausting the air. I might try whacking it with a hammer to see...

    M936A2 service brakes

Using the L/F service brake chamber as an ex., since i am having an issue with that particular chamber. Which hose is supply when pedal is pressed and which is exhaust once pedal is released? I want to crack the exhaust side to let the air out to see if it fully releases then back track to a...

    M936A2 service brakes

The only valve i have up front is on the emergency gladhand. On his picture, someone might have installed a valve as well on his truck, or at some point in time, someone removed the valve on mine. Either which way it happened, there is no valve outside or inside of the frame for the service side.

    M936A2 service brakes

I did a search, might not be using correct word search, and this might have been answered already. I will start by checking my check valves and abs relays. But for now, id like to go ahead and see if it could be something else. Got my truck hm today from a job site about 20 miles away. I did...

I remembered this time to check if the t case will shift w/o air. Yes, it went into high, back to neutral, into low a d then back to neutral.

    T-Case not wanting to shift

I think the xmsns are the same across the 939 A2 series, maybe even the A1s. No push buttons on mine, except for the ctis, which has been disabled. I have the normal shift tower like in a 923A2.

    T-Case not wanting to shift

My unit does have counter weights on the bumper extensions, but evidently, not enough. It was NOT my intension to bring the front wheels off the ground, but it happened and rode it out till they contacted the ground again. I too think its an indicating issue, either the gauge or the sending...

    T-Case not wanting to shift

Today, i show up to the logging site, forgot to check t case shifting w/o air, but the xmsn gauge read normal till i went to pull the last of the log out of the hole and as soon as i got the chain tight, the gauge went from 180, rite to 240 and didnt pass go or collect $200. After getting the...

    T-Case not wanting to shift

You are correct, i dont want to burn the xmsn up, but i wouldnt think that within 2-3 sec, the temp would go from 90 to 240. Fixing the factory gauge? You mean possibly replacing the sending unit, or replacing another 1 of those unreliable gauges? I dang sure dont want to butn up an eng either...

    T-Case not wanting to shift

I did get it moved yesterday and it did it to me 1 time today. the xmsn temp though, think is an indicating issue. I know it wasnt 240 degree outside this morning at 0945, and when i got to the job site, fired it up to let the air build and the temp gage airborne shuffled all the way to 240...

    T-Case not wanting to shift

Took my M936A2 out for a stroll and to finally use it for what i bought it. After several lite lifting jobs and repositionings, i went move in to position for my last lift job of the day. I disengaged the rear pto and went to put the case in high range, it wouldnt go, tried low, still no joy. I...

    Super single or duals?

Iv tried using them over the past 10 yrs and never could get the hang of them compared to doing it by hand. We werent allowed to use them in my units in the army, so, hand twisting it was. Plus the pliers crimped/nicked/scored the wire, leaving a weak spot in the wire and broke many a wire when...

Gaskets -- do you make them or source them already made?

That is for sure. We tore a hyd pump gasket, didnt have 1 in stock. I went to napa and got the paper gasket material and used a ballpeen to tap out the bolt holes and flanges. I got some weird looks and comments for not using what the parts book called out, but it got us and flying again in an...

    Block off leaking shutterstat

After seeing there are evidently different sizes out there, i went and double checked the shutterstat plumbing on both my 936A2s, and both trucks have an an4 in and an4 out. See attached pics. If year model of shutterstat make a difference in fitting size, mine is 07 of 05. It is NOT my...

    5" exhaust stack

My muffler was rusted out so i straight piped it. Operating the crane though is a bit loud w/o ear protection. I also went with 4”, simply bc that is what factory was and that is what the local exhaust shop had in stock. Sounds better but i wast going for sound, i just didnt want to buy a new...

    Block off leaking shutterstat

Why not just hook the airlines together, bypassing the shutterstat, yet keeping the fan going? You’ll need an AN4 jic male to male nipple
