My $40K wrecker (M936A1) refurbished at Memphis Equipment

For your eng temp, mine does the same in central texas with 90+ temps. I dont have a warning buzzer, and if i do and its operational, then the gauge is very wrong. Many on here say that the factory gauges and not to be trusted. Mine has been pegged out after 30-40 min of crane ops, and i checked...

My $40K wrecker (M936A1) refurbished at Memphis Equipment

As Mullaney said, xfr case in N, xmsn in N, attempt to take the pto lever and push it to the back of the cab. If it doesnt go, place xmsn in 1-5, at the same time of applying pressure on the pto lever. It should engage, verify its engaged by sound, the eng will bog down very briefly, then pick...

    Chainfall for spare

The air should already be built if a person is driving down the road and has a flat. I dont see what i carry as a lot of extra, just like i dont see that what you carry as to little. You do you and ill do me. The man asked what folks carry, i stated what i carry.

    Chainfall for spare

I carry 2 20 ton bottle jacks from tractor supply, a couple 4x6s for blocking/shoring, a 3/4” impact with lug and beadlock nut sockets and an old craftsman 30 gal air comp tank to use as a volume tank and a 1/2” HF air hose to run the impact. I will eventually keep a 3/4” breaker bar and ratchet...

    Fixing Flat on M35A3

I was messing with 14R20s, that who knows how long they were on the rims for before i began breaking beads. I used my tractor at first, but then after putting a fork through the sidewall of 1, i decided to find an alt. method and just did grunt work. now that i have fresh 395s recently mounted...

    Fixing Flat on M35A3

As for breaking bead, i use 2 tanker bars (5’ single chisel point pry bar), a 36” standard pry bar and an ample amount of soapy water or a penetrant oil. I had 2 wheel assy, that even snatch blocked on the 20k front winch, 1tn dually chained to my tractor and both truck and tractor chocked, and...

    Fixing Flat on M35A3

General maint standard practices in my field of work state to tighten till the click and stop. There is 1 installation procedure for my field that requires multiple clicks at 275’ lbs, to achieve the required thread protrusion.

    M51 wheel stud sizes ?

You can also use a thread pitch gauge or a tape measure and mark off 1” and count the threads in that 1”, then measure the diameter of the stud. You can also see what the tm says for part number and do a google search for said p/n or use wbparts.com or partstarget.com and it gives you size.

    Securing Cargo

With the short distance, try a cargo net strapped the pallet, plus the pallet/s as far forward as you can get them. You say you dont bed tie downs. Why not install them?

    M936 Exhaust Clamp?

I ended up cutting the flange off my muffler and used a tig rod as filler, used my oxy/acet rig and brazed the flange on the straight pipe. Not using flux made for an ugly weld, but doesnt leak. New to me M936 drive/transmission issues

Referring to reply #7 @Mario item 18 in the pic is the rear pto/power divider. Up and to the back of the cab is engaged/on and down, away from the cab is disengaged/off. I made the mistake a couple time of having the rear pto engaged, t-case in high a d went to 1-5 on the xmsn selector and it...
