Here are some Deuces that sold at auction last week for some price points. From the first page, just click on the Next Lot to view the others. I didn't see them, but it seems that condition and prices were extremely variable. You expect to pay more for a private vehicle sale, but you should...
Depending on the condition of the Deuce, that could be a real good price or $2-3K high. For $6K, you could buy a F250 powerstroke with 350K miles with no AC or a similar condition vehicle. I'd rather have the Deuce if it was really nice shape. The F250 will only go down in value.
You will also need either a set of magnetic trailer lights and gorilla tape to use on the trailer when you tow it off base, or have someone follow closely behind to signal for turns and stops since it will be a short trip. I drop the tailgate straight down and tape the magnetic lights to the...
A number of deuces showed up a few weeks ago on GL and GSA, so they are still available at auction, but as Doghead said, the prices are 3-5X what they were. The following recommendations still stand. I've had similar issues with the M931s and M923s I've bought lately, but at least the brakes...
Cool! Some of the BII tools are farrier tools (horseshoer). The three nippers, small hammer and the rasps - all you need are shoes and nails. I guess the brace and bit and bald peen hammer are for cart repairs.
I have a similar issue and drove the truck over 3 hours home with the buzzer on when I picked it up from GL. After lots of searching and testing, I found if I jiggle the brake handle it stops. I'm guessing in my case it's the brake sensor, or something loose holding it in place. Haven't had a...
The laundry unit setup on mine gives a gross trailer wt of over 15,000 lbs! 3-DAngus suggested it would make a very sturdy height-adjustable work table, especially if you took off the tires.
From that period, and from the appearance of the wood, the wood used to make the crates looks like it may have come from the last of the virgin southern longleaf pine forests. Mules and oxen were used to haul the logs to small steam trains that ran on temporary wooden tracks leading to the saw...
This is good for static and parade speed display(with the taller poles so that flag doesn't block view). Need taller/stronger pipe and much smaller size flag for highway speeds.
I like the removable platform idea. You could set it up on the ground at the camp as a tent platform that keeps the tent off the ground but low enough you don't need a boarding ladder. It would also keep the tent away from the cooking and shower areas, and give easier access to the trailer bed.
Great workmanship!
If you move the spotlight back to clear the hood, the hood will still hit the floods. You might consider use of a rubber bumper (like a leaf spring cone bumper) on the front of the bar, and use a bungee strap from the side to secure the hood upright against a wind gust.
If you're planning on a permanent installation, you could mount the batteries outside the ASK. I don't have a recommendation if you want to keep it portable.
My M105A2 trailers haul well behind it. Also the M1061 5-ton flatbed trailers (and what ever they may carry, like the laundry trailer edition). A bolster trailer, MKT kitchen trailer, M989 hemat trailer.
