If the title was fixed, I would buy it. I suspect it may be a late 80's Air Force deuce with dual brake systems, which is very desirable, and except for the white paint, looks to be in very good shape with little rust. If you can't find a deuce bed, you can use a M105 trailer bed and sell one...
You just might have to be careful when hitching to a semi trailer so the trailer kingpin doesn't hit the gooseneck ball. I'm not sure of the clearance if the semi-trailer is riding the ramps when you hitch. If you have the trailer raised high enough to clear the ramps, you're probably safe. I...

Of the hundreds of GovLiq auction trucks and trailers I've inspected over the years, I've only seen maybe 2 with battle damage. One of them is the M1101 trailer with shrapnel holes that I bought from GL. CSM Davis' CUCV is the third - I've seen the truck but I saw it...
It's been 53 years since I saw the trailers on an army base in 1960, but I believe they were single color. Do a search for olive drab paint color and you should get several options.
I have both, and I prefer the G177s over the singles for the fact that I can change a flat by myself (I'm 62). Here in south LA, there is more chance of mud than desert sand or rocks if I decide to go offroad. With the dual setup, you have 5 spares rather than 1 spare so two flats won't stop...
You don't NEED an impact gun to change tires. I'm 62 and changed all 10 tires on a 5-ton in one day with a geared lug wrench and 4' cheater bar. I did get a 3/4" impact gun from a pawn shop to speed things up though after that.
Good private trucks are going for around $3.5-6+K now...
My FL trip changed, but I'm returning from AL that day. Plan to stop by CSM Davis's place on the way home, but still won't be able to make it. Hope you all have fun, which I could drive with y'all.
I don't know if I want to replace the OEM foam with the same stuff. It seems too often to degrade and fall off in chunks which turn to powder when you try to pick them up. There has got to be a better product out there. But, then maybe this is the only stuff available that when it falls off...
That is a really nice truck! The guages were probably new at the rebuild, so it does have really low miles, especially if the engine is new. When they don't replace the guages, most of the trucks of that age only have around 12K - 35K miles. So it's probably reasonable to assume the truck has...
I SO wanted to post a warning when I saw the price soar, but was afraid there was no way to be obtuse enough to keep from being banned. I almost bid on it until I noticed the exhaust pipe.
