Re: RE: Brake light switch
There was a thread started awhile back with MV suppliers. It is not all inclusive, but certainly a good start. I would be glad to compile it into a usable list if we could put it somewhere accessible...
Ok, I am no expert on this, I am just trying to explain what I did to my truck. If anyone can refute this, please do - I would like to learn also. Let me also add that my truck is the G744 (M39) series - I am not sure if this is applicable to your 800 series.
dma, I sent a PM with my phone...
I'm going to try to make a lot of replies in one post. Here goes:
1. Kenny, Chris, Dennis, Clinto, Bjorn, Thanks for all of the positive comments. Sorry it took 6 months to get the video up, but it is a good reminder of warmer days . . . ...
Recently uncovered, previously unreleased, archival footage from the Steel Soldiers Haspin Rally 2006
Actually, I have been promising the last one to our founder - Chris since July . . . just now getting around to doing it - sheeeshhh.
These files are pretty big, so be patient while they...

Thanks once again Kenny.
As Kenny said, make sure the title is printed in the seller's name - then make sure to get it notarized before you leave. If the name printed on the front is someone other than the person trying to sell it to you, then you are "jumping" the title - not good. Get the seller to straighten it out...
I'm afraid I can't be much help. My deuce horn is the older electric style, (hmm, doesn't work anyway :? )
I do know that the air horn on the five-ton has an adjustment screw that is supposed to change the sound (pitch?). I fiddled with it a little one day, but didn't notice much difference...
My 2cents:
There are at least 3 different carbs for the five ton. There is the Zenith (cast iron), and two versions of the Holley (one aluminum and one cast iron) The cast iron versions are roughly 25 lbs each. Yikes!! I have all three and can try to answer any specific questions if you...
Ya know Kenny, watching the videos is the next-best-thing to actually driving. You have inspired me to post up some previously unreleased Haspin 06 video. As soon as it is moderator approved. . .
I'm pretty sure Howard Hammond's junkyard had a dozen or more bridge trucks. Maybe hookin1 or eddiec can say for certain.
edit: ( now that I am thinking more about it, . . . I seem to remember them on both sides of the road - two different fields)
That M215 belongs to M215 (easy to remember  ) and it is a fine looking dump truck.
Here are some other pics from the past:

My apologizes in advance for the distraction, but to add a bit of levity . . . .
My brother went through a civil engineering course of study at a small technical college. He had instructor who told the class that:
There are only two kinds of concrete-
The kind that IS cracked,
and The kind...
