I have had the $35-40 lawnmower batterys in my generator for a bit over a year. They still started my set in -6* a few months ago. I use no solar charger.
Are you sure the fluid didnt boil out of them being on a charger?
The cheap walmart battery in my lawnmower is from 2012 and never been...
A light wouldnt help. The purpose of the pump is to transfer fuel and to start/stop at a specific fuel tank level. The only way to really properly test this is to do what the OP did.
Adding a light would only tell you that power is applied to the pump. Not that the pump is actualy pumping or...
Are you talking about the canister fuel filter? Every time i buy fuel filters they come with new gaskets. Both the spin on and canister.
OpS. Fuel FILLER.. can you take pictures of what your talking about?
Why dont you just call the inspector directly and not deal with 3rd party out of your area heresay?
From a logical stand point a transfer switch dosnt need to have a generator hooked to it to be inspected..or else every time somone sold there only one they would be violating code....call the...
I dont know FL codes but i do know that there not UL approved. You may be better having it setup as a portable generator plug in station and useing the mep on it.
For adding lubricity back into ULSD i use 2 stroke oil. I believe about 1oz per gallon. The cheap walmart super- tech stuff is good enough as long as its TC W3 rated.
Taking the air filter out can actualy help on the hardest ones. Most of the rest have captured nuts. A bit of never seeze can really help down the road if your in a damp climate.
Yes take the top cover off.. how hard is it? Its a bunch of bolts with a 5/16 head. Unless you like working with a mirror and tiny plyers its alot easier to pull a fiew pannels.
Your in NJ? Use a anti algee and mabe some anti gell if you see temps below 15* or fill it up in the summer.
Seafoam is for gas engines and prob more for fixing a problem than keeping fuel fresh.
Oliveone we are neighbors i live just across the river about 30min away.
I would connect the burnt up wires and do a test run before you even replace the terminal block. If it all checks out repair correctly.
Then put hardware cloth over the lower openings and below the engine..theres a hole...
I know a guy who use to work in the testing lab for prestonw. I talked to him about what antifreze to use for these generators he sugested a ford motocraft. Bot the usualy green stuff. I have refrenced its specific part number before on here.
Seeing as the red hose springs were disolved i...
