i had one of those as part of det-5. I used to love the sound of the turbo on that big Detroit when you got on the throttle. The road oilers sound sexy as he!! 0n start up but soon start to be a noisy old nag once you put your foot down and work them. I still find my self around a lot of 6v's in...
Am I reading something wrong how can you make the cat pump from a 3116 or a 3126 work on a v8 gm diesel the operation of the fuel systems is totally different.
Let see in 79 I was building plastic models and wanted a dodge w150 so bad I could taste it by the time I got old enough to drive dodge trucks didn't look the same and I haad to settle for an international 1200 because that's all I could afford on part time work pay. Just to show how little the...
I should add one of my deciding factors with going lmtv was the wet bearings in the rear and a whole lot less axle maintenance than a duce, with its old style bearings and seals that require so much maintenance. When you drive one occasionally one can get away with not servicing the bearings so...

Mr Wagner you are a real gentleman its always nice to have a subject matter expert around to help folks out. I don't have any cummins to pick the brain of I usually use the book. but I do have a few buddys at Cat to pick up tech support when necessary. those of you that share info only...
And the only one that is serviceable is the water separator filter which usually looks like a stack of penny's or a hydroscopic screen all other fuel filters are throw away when their service life has ended .
I know of one complete ready to run up here in Nome pm me I I will get you contact info to purchase it and there was a set of new tracks some where in Idaho for it but I couldn't tell you where the owner of this one up here located them. He was thinking of getting them for spares for his I also...
The problem with the gas rag or a shot from a spray can is your fuel mixture must be drawn through the air filter. plumbing to the turbo, than the after cooler plumbing than to the intake. it takes a long time to get their, and lots of cranking the injection system fills the intake only and the...
the 900 series is different to, engage the pto on a 900 truck you must put the trans into drive , engage the pto than back to neutral to raise the rpm to run the hydraulic pump.
both wheel bearings failed the inner is what keeps the drum and hub on the truck. my wife drove the pi$$ out of my old 76 chevy when I was in Iraq the day I got home this same thing happened to me. I was able to torch the races off and re thread the nut. as I remember I was even able to save the...
