Wholly crap. How bad is the leak? If you can get it clean (oil free) and is in a non stress point and small enough, also not under pressure. A skilled tig welder may be able to seal it if cast iron. If cast steel, easy day. If the weld won't hold, then it will need to be brazed with a pre...
You can read on here of how others rebuilt their pumps. Mine is on the out as well. May change up with a elec pump.
as for your batteries don't give up on them yet. I have recovered mine with a desulfurization charger. Also topped off the water.
good luck and have fun
You can always unplug the ctis and adjust pressure manually at each tire for desired pressure. Careful with running at speed with lower pressures, heats the tires up and can cause failure. Tire companies often post psi recommendations for a given weight on the tire.
55 is a civi speed rating, so is 25, and 10 as well. Have you ever exceeded the speed limit? These are set on standards to keep people safe, but without a doubt I bet you have once or twice. Every vehicle made can exceed the posted speed limits on some roads, but we don't limit all the...
I picked up an 803a with a deck over. The gp employee used a m998 and backed it up my ramps and onto the trailer. Or I would have had to do the same with my own truck after disconnecting from the trailer
Have fun drawing it. One member here has a model of a 1078 they have done, you can find it with a search. Some day I will draw one in sketch up if I ever find some time.
Hit it with some engine cleaner, then wash it of. Start and let run for a few and then look. What I thought was a cracked cover turned out to be the failed o ring on the heui pump.
200 amp comes as a kit. Suprman has them. Replaces a lot of parts. Instructions are limited. Since I hope to some day convert mine to a camper I opted for the upgrade when my alt crapped out. In reality the amps are split between the 24 and 12 volt side. So I'm not sure if you get the full...
It's not always about going faster. For me it's about getting the engine off of the redline at 55. Cruise speed at lower rpm equals more mpg, and longer engine life.
The cat 3116, 3126, and c7 though are called throwaway engines can be rebuilt like every other non sleeved engine. Cat did make a v8 diesel that was junk but this inline 6 series engine has been a good performer. It was meant to be run at a little higher rpm and should see best mpg in the...
Thank you for the info, was exactly what I was looking for. Looks like I will have to find a longer weather window. At least I won't have to split the knuckles. The front end looks like it may take a day or two on its own now. I hope to take lots of photos of it all and will do a write up...
That is a lot of mpg for a 6x6. My jeep wrangler gets worse, but then again you don't buy a jeep for mpg. I don't think the cat will get that kind of mpg. The 3126 or c7 may have some programming you can do but it may scarafice torque. The cat engine has parts that are ready available...
For one, you have to look at the weight on the axles and tires. As well as gcvwr. 26001# gcvwr puts you in Cdl territory, but if you have the license or your Lmtv is registered as an rv, well then next up is axles and tires, with a lot of math. If your bobcat is on a trailer and over the...
I have already had to replace the ctis seals in one front hub. Was easier than I expected overall. Yes all the parts were heavy. So can I pull the axle out from the hub enough to clear the center section?
So I have been staring at a set of high speed gears in my garage for too long now. And since it's rainy season in WA the wife no longer wants to work out side as much. So I'm looking to build a tent and get this gear swap done. The rear looks easy. Pull hub caps, insert bolt into shaft and...
