For this sale, I'd get on live chat at GL and raise and raise the issue. Also, call their Customer Service Department at (I think) 480-367-1450. I've found that getting more than one GL employee involved will get you quick results.

Even a cold engine should start, this time of year, in a few seconds with little or no throttle. A warm engine should need no throttle. Most, but not all will run without the in-tank pump. Some otherwise strong running trucks without leaks will gag and croak if the in-tank pump is out.

For CUCVs I sometimes plan on driving back but usually use a friend's goose neck trailer to save on drama and so I don't have to coordinate for a helper.
For deuces etc, I plan on driving them back and am prepared to use a tow bar for short trips (ex.; Fort Drum=115 miles).

Forget the chain!
No GL rep in their right mind is going to let you use a GL/DRMO vehicle in the for anything other than, maybe, a slave start and they'll be driving it.
Now repeat after me; There is no SAFE way to to tow start a truck with a chain. I say again, there is no SAFE way to tow...
Bring two or four fresh batteries and, just in case, bring the short cables you would need to connect the batteries in series. Bring some battery clamps, they aren't always there, either.

For many, the fiberglass seats are more desirable. You can probably save a lot of work be offering to swap for some decent wood racks.

Interesting thought. About a year ago the "#1 son" and I picked up a truck at Drum and all ten tires were at about 10 PSI. It was a pretty painful time filling them.

Years past, the issue air hose had a threaded fitting on the end that threaded onto the one under the dash. At some point, the hose was changed to a "glad hand" end and it is hooked to the emergency brake glad hand (passenger side) for the trailer connections. The issue hose is 1/4" or 5/16"...
The 1988 edition of the A2 TM shows either 134 or 135 HP, I can't remember which up to 140HP.
