    Is the M880 gearbound

The charging system goes through the ammeter, a weak spot on these. There are plans to remedy this which I did on mine. They also use 16.5 rims, I just converted mine to use much easier to find 16" tires simply by changing the wheels. The only other problems I've had were the wiper arm...

M1009 radiator replacement 432098; engine oil cooler lines don't fit

I installed one of those aluminum radiators in a friends M1008, got it off ebay. All the lines fit well but I had problems with the top mounts not fitting too well. Ended up making a rubber mount from sheet rubber. Sorry I dont have the ebay vendor info, it was quite some time ago.

    small shelter, humvee?

I vote S-250 configured as a GRC 142/122 teletype shelter. My S-250 GRC-142 exterior is identical, the GRC-106 radio exhaust port is a dead give away.

    Generator trailer

I'm not aware of a multi-fuel military generator. Most common surplus units for the average home are the MEP-002A and MEP-003A gensets that are diesel.

    Engine Mount Help

The crank broke in half in my M1009 a year or so ago and I am just getting around to installing a 6.2 from a van. Well never thought about the engine mounts being different. Got the engine in and the mounts were way off so out came the engine. Of course I got rid of the old block so now I...

S-250's with additional plate on the roof?

My shelter has it as well, it's just a c channel rail with tie down points. Sort of creates a shallow box on the top for storage. Mine is aluminum.

MB Engine Question for you experts

Look for a machined flat area behind the oil filter, like bob said should start with GPW or MB and some numbers. If not look for a flat surface above the waterpump for numbers(postwar). Keep us posted.
