Midwest Military Home Page you never know what this guy has stashed away, he buys alot of WWII Korea era stuff, worth a call.
No external voltage regulators, verify gen 1 is hooked up correctly. Sounds like gen 1 internal regulator may be bad. Try swapping generators and see if the light staying on problem follows the suspect gen.
From the pictures in the HMMWV TM it looks to me like the install kit for the S250 bolts to the floor of the truck not he shelter. I will post some pictures of mine sitting in the dunnage. Mine is built from 2x6 pressure treated lumber and decking screws, I did not paint it.
Any cucv will need the dunnage for the S-250, all the cucv pickup beds are identical in interior dimension. The M1028 has the tie down bracket kit installed from the factory, overload springs. The cucv dunnage plans work with all the cucv's and a S-250. You don't need the dual wheel...
You need the shelter cribbing/dunnage, most people don't know about it. It keeps the shelter centered in the bed and off of the bed rails. All the tie downs do is keep it from tipping out of the truck. There are plans to make it for the various trucks in the supply bulletin SB 11-640. I built...
Aluminum body, M1031 cab/chasis should have the front locker. Not sure on the later as mine has the pto generator. Not all of the older maint bodies are on M1031 cab/chasis, check to make sure.
If it is the original configuration the top hot post of the relay should show 24v off, 12v in the on position if the relay is energized and providing power to the glow plugs. The resistor bank is fed from the 24v block on the firewall behind the rear battery. Once power is applied to the...
The relay is located behind the diagnostic connector, remove the two screws holding it on and if I recall a third screw to the left of it, the starter relay(silver box)and two black relays will drop down on a bracket. I bought one of the new starters on ebay from db electrical and it lasted 3...
On the rusty unit I would throw some batteries in it and see if it spins over and if the fuel pumps turn on. If so, I would take the time to clean the tank, replace all the filters, new oil and try and start it. Bad fuel tanks and gages are common from sitting around. Might also want to check...
Well they do make replacement links but it's back to stock for this one from a donor truck in the boneyard. I keep all my trucks stock as well the ones I work on, as said before makes things easier to fix.
Give that man a cigar! it was the fusible link for the 12v block feed. It would show 12v but carry no amperage. I have never had a fusible link go before, I thought there would be some sign of it being burnt so I assumed it was good since I had voltage. Thank you very much.
